Corrie's Helen Flanagan poses with gun to her head as 26 lie dead in US school horror
SOAP star Helen Flanagan poses with a gun pressed to her head — in a picture she put on the internet as the world mourned the Sandy Hook massacre victims.
Shocked parents in Newtown, Connecticut, where Adam Lanza shot dead 20 children and six school staff, yesterday accused Helen of “brainless stupidity”. One angry dad, speaking at a shrine to the victims, said: “It’s just ignorant. When the eyes of the world are on what happened here, to be posing with a gun like that is insensitive and stupid.” Ex-Corrie star Helen, 22, posted the crass snap of her in a lacy black bra on Twitter on Monday — the day of the first funerals of Lanza’s young victims. Alongside it was the message: “Head *******.” Garrett Gloss, who was yesterday putting up 26 Christmas lights in Newtown’s library to commemorate the victims, said: “This is plain wrong. You can’t do this. “It looks like she is just trying to get her name out there.” Helen first posted the snap, from a series of lingerie photos, in October. But she decided to publish it again on Monday. It was later removed from Twitter but last night was still being displayed at an online picture storage site. I’m A Celebrity star Helen declined to comment last night. But she tweeted: “I was so hungover yesterday.” President Obama yesterday backed up his vow to bring in gun control laws by promising to “actively support” a move to outlaw the sale of assault weapons. Obama’s spokesman said he would also support legislation to close a loophole that allows people to buy guns from private dealers without background checks. Gun dealers say sales have risen in the wake of Friday’s rampage by 20-year-old Lanza, who shot himself after murdering his mum and the 26 school victims. They claim gun-lovers are stocking up in case laws are tightened. North Carolina gun store owner Larry Hyatt said customers were queueing out of the door on Saturday just hours after the massacre. He added: “We already have tons of customers because of Christmas and the hunting season is peaking. But this tragedy is pushing sales through the roof.” silly fishing women |
oh for the love of god
the world doesn't revolve around the most recent white-kids tragedy if some dumb celebrity wants to post a photo of her acting like a gangster, let it happen, it's not some ****ing sign of disrespect towards some dead children I mean what would it actually mean if it was even remotely connected to the Connecticut case? "Hey, dead kids and teachers, look what I can do!" ? |
Well said Shaun

You cannot post articles from The Daily Mail. They only tell lies, or embellish the truth, whipping the public into a frenzy of hate. Helen, I am sure, will be villified for this, which will do nothing for her self confidence. Silly thing to do, but I don't think she's the sharpest tool in the box....

I caught myself shooting people in Far Cry 3 last night, I'm absolutely appaled with myself for this behaviour, and have decided to shove my head in the oven.

My sister has the flu, I'm sorry for all the distress that this has caused for people who's relatives perished during the plague

I get how it could come across as insensitive, however if Helen and some people on Twitter are right that the picture from the shoot was took before the US tragedy then to me The Sun are in the wrong for being dramatic and using that against her in that headline...

i saw her on day break today and i got inspired to write this - i never started a new thread as this time i spotted one is already going halauarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
from the street to the jungle to the bronx 20.12.12 in Weatherfield town, Helen was bearable, we watched the brat grow, leaving with quality's that were not desirable. into the jungle, not sure if a "celebrity" she is worthy, but she no's how to play the camera, advertising only her bits that are curvy. very spoil t, with common sense lacking, such a empty boring sight, if you listen you can hear her brain cells cracking. now the picture, "bust" out but what is in her hand, after the "USA" shooting, gun advertising is a no understand. i am bored of you "Helen", you are empty and not sweet, but more sympathy is deserving, for these silly enough to "follow" your every "tweet". ( hello to all those who are unfortunate to have got to the end of my poem. going back to the "twiiter" debate and not "Helen" well i i think i am just well gel as on my tweet list is ZERO as no one wants to follow me, now is that a shame or what ? but more importantly - has Helen made you furious or are you even more interested in her then ever ? will you be tuning in to her next "tweet" ? please can some tell me what the fascination is with this "twiiter" as i can not understand it for the life of me ?) ) |
I think it's a bit insensitive.

The press are really going over board trying to porty Helen as a publicity seeking airhead bimbo. They dont have to try to hard mind.
The picture were taken before the shoot out so the only insensitive thing was for the paper to run the story, |
