Would you/have you complained in a restaurant...

..when the food hasn't been good...?...or do you just eat it anyway and say nothing...?....

Niamh. 21-12-2012 09:23 PM

I would if it was really bad but I'd be really polite about it.............you don't want to be rude to someone who's handling your food

King Gizzard 21-12-2012 09:23 PM

I'm too much of a scaredy cat to complain about anything..probably wouldn't even say anything If I was given the wrong food i'm a pushover

Marcus. 21-12-2012 09:24 PM

no i would not

King Gizzard 21-12-2012 09:25 PM

i absolutely hate it when people complain for the sake of it, to get the price down or free wine

King Gizzard 21-12-2012 09:26 PM

and when they take it out on the waiter/waitress when it's really not their fault

..yeah, that's what I think...I've watched those hidden camera programmes....

The only time I have ever said anything was in a restaurant when I was given chicken than was uncooked in the middle. I just asked it to be cooked again but didn't have a hissy fit or anything.

I know a girl who will put a hair in her meal when she has eaten as much as she wants to get it free. A lot of people won't go out to eat with her now as they know she is going to do it and it's really embarrassing and just plain wrong.

I complain... but very nicely. Usually because my steak is still bleeding when I asked for it to be properly dead.

Bleeding is good

Black Dagger 21-12-2012 09:33 PM

I have, but I'm very shy and coy about it, so I don't hurt their feelings <3.

That's awful, I hate when they over do steak, it tastes all dry and chewy

Jesus. 21-12-2012 09:51 PM

Unless it's still mooing, it's going back.

Ammi 21-12-2012 09:53 PM

..I quite often don't order a meal anyway, I just have a bread roll and then a pudding, so my food is always ok.....

Niamh. 21-12-2012 09:54 PM

Ammi!

LemonJam 21-12-2012 10:15 PM

Honestly I've never had a situation where the food was so bad I had to complain tbh. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe it's because I'm really not picky.

I only ever complain if I'm given something that isn't what I ordered... and just in an "excuse me, but I asked for _____" way.

If I find the food terrible I just make a mental note never to return.

Jamie585 21-12-2012 10:48 PM

LOL... My family has never NOT Complained!! :joker:

. The food took too long
. The food was cold
. The food didn't taste right
. The seats aren't comfortable
. I don't like the family we're sat next to
. The table is dirty

And many more..

joeysteele 21-12-2012 10:53 PM

I cannot recall ever complaining about food, usually to be fair what I order is always fine.

I have had, very rarely though, bad and rather unnecessarily rude service which I dislike a great deal, so on leaving have said the service needs to inprove in this place.

Princess 22-12-2012 12:28 AM

I hate complaining, hardly ever do it. Though one time I ordered tomato soup, and it had sausage floating in it which as a vegetarian I obviously wasn't best pleased with so I asked for a new one and the new one still had sausage in, not happy.

Oh and another time I ordered a risotto and there was so much onion in(I hate onion) that after picking it out for like 10 minutes they just offered me a pizza instead.
