Sobriety

Well a drop of alcohol has not passed my lips since the 23rd...
Is anyone else going teetotal this christmas, any reason?

I'm on a health kick, was going to make it my new years resolution but then thought stuff it bite the bullet and do it now.
Will it get easier!?

AnnieK 29-12-2012 01:20 PM

Good for you Kizzy. Sure it will get easier like anything else. Are you doing it permanently?

arista 29-12-2012 01:21 PM

Its probably easier for her with unfortunately having an underlying reason. You will get there am sure. I don't drink much any more, the odd glass of wine and then on nights out but I think I am going to do the dryathlon in January anyway for cancer research.

Well done :). Keep it up.

Been sober since August myself. Not as difficult as i thought it would be. It's more the weed that I'm missing tbh.

Great job! It gets great after about a month and you generally feel like you have the energy of 4 Kizzys. :)

Plan to do the teetotal thing after New Years, see if I can beat my old record of 8 months. :joker:

I think a lot of it depends on who you hang around with and what situations you're in with them.

i hardly drink as i have chrones disease and even thought they say food and drink doesnt affect it, i think it does. last time i got really drunk was in july in scotland on my hols, i dont think im even meant to drink @ all as im on meds but heck an odd one here and there wont harm me. Went for food on thurs and went over the top on the vodka 5 doubles and 1 single came home and couldnt get off the loo. I really should know my limits lol good luck.
