The amputation scene in Looper is the most disturbing scene I've ever seen in movies
 

I consider Looper to be the best time travel movie since Terminator 2. It's definitely the most disturbing and, perhaps, thought-provoking. The most intense scene in the movie happens when a looper chickens out on killing an older version of himself and the older self flees. What happens to the older version when the loopers have the younger version in custody?
