A BB advert aired during Splash!

Impressive from C5! BBspy reported it

*mazedsalv** 05-01-2013 07:29 PM

It's the 2nd ad so far that they have done on Splash! I reckon Spash will have over 6m tonight, so I reckon it is brilliant that CBB is being advertised on there. I notice a lot of people on Twitter watching Splash saying "Omg, just saw an ad on ITV for CBB, I didn't know it was on!" so it could help them.

I haven't seen it, was it the same advert we've already seen or a 'Tonight' one?

I haven't seen it because my Dad keeps switching the channel everytime there's ads on Splash. But looking on Twitter, it has been advertised twice in a row and a lot of people are confused.

Some saying they didn't know it was back and some saying they don't understand why they are advertising on another channel, especially in peak time on a Saturday as it could be a threat to ITV as they are helping Ch5 get ratings.

It was just the teaser as embedded below - there's rules preventing broadcasters from giving transmission dates/times in adverts that go out on other channels

Petershaw1984 05-01-2013 07:37 PM

Is it on at peak time though?

Money talks

DigitalSid 05-01-2013 07:37 PM

Maybe this is why they didn't do much multi-channel promotion before hand? Saving the budget to keep what audience it does launch with watching? Doesn't explain not even advertising on their own channel though, that's free.

Do these people live in the woods or something? It's been on two nights in a row and been repeated 4 times, not including live feed, bots, etcetera.

BigBrotherfan4ever 05-01-2013 07:37 PM

That's great it's getting advertised on other channels.

Meh, some seem very confused by it. To be honest, I was speaking to a friend on Facebook and told him I was watching CBB and he replied, "Oh is it back? I need to watch it"

I think the first time was after 8:20pm.

Petershaw1984 05-01-2013 07:57 PM

Just seen it and i felt like a proud mother/father

daniel-lewis-1985 05-01-2013 08:04 PM

Random.

It just seems odd now saying "its back" when its been on for 3 nights.

I know they cant advertise dates but im sure they could have put an ad on showing clips of the show showing what will happen tonight like they do on Channel 5?

Maybe they can't have clips from a show from a different show. Either way, it may have alerted a few people if they are fans of BB and are living under a rock that it is back. When it was advertised during Emmerdale, we were all happy, but Splash will appeal to the same audience as CBB compared to Emmerdale.

Petershaw1984 05-01-2013 08:07 PM

Does seem a bit odd that it wasnt on before bb started but any advert is better than none

Not sure why, it's not a new thing, it was common as hell in the 80s and early 90s and C5 were doing it for months when it got Neighbours

Does he walk around with his eyes closed? There are billboards in every city centre, it's been all over the news and papers, it's on the EPG 8 times a day including BOTS, it took over twitter on Thursday. God help him if there were a nuclear strike and there was only an hour or two's warning . No wonder they're scrapping GCSES with the current generation .

Jarrod 05-01-2013 08:09 PM

Another just aired on ITV 1

*mazedsalv** 05-01-2013 08:10 PM

Yet another one. Now on ITV!! Maybe Ch5 saved their money to promote all tonight :p

Petershaw1984 05-01-2013 08:14 PM

Its up against jonathon rpss so it doesnt make much sense that itv would advertise it.al it may not say the time its on but all people have to do is check their epg or tv mag
