What happened? I had no idea itv2 had dropped it. Is because of the xfactorusa? Did simon say idol or xfactor? And they plumped for xfactor?

The new series looks very interesting and cool

I literally cannot understand why they put coups like that on their obscure 5Star Channel rather than on the main channel where they could actually get decent ratings

It seems crazy doesnt it. I reckon if they put it on 5 on a saturday night it woukd get decent viewing figures.

I think 1/2 million is a stretch but surely it would beat "50 facts about weight loss and diet"

Maybe ITV thought it's going to be a crapfest. There's a chance, it's been 3 years since the last one talent wise. (AI3,6, and especially 9 had alot of crud talent make it into the liveshow rounds)

Or maybe C5 is thinking of reviving Pop Idol.

It's a strange decision, given the high profile judging panel you'd think that C5 would give it a good spot on the main channel as no one watches 5*.
