Has there ever been a more bland bunch of housemates before?

..I'm struggling to find any real characters in the house..even Speidi, and the current twist is fairly uninteresting for me...my finger is hovering over the switch off button..and unless someone shows some personality soon, that button will be pressed...

...does anyone else feel the same..or are you as captivated by it as previous series...?

Cherie 11-01-2013 06:26 AM

Each successive group of "celebs" are getting more and more clued up going into the house, they are never going to go back to the days of George Galloway and Rula Lenska/Leo Sawyer. They just want to sit around for 3 weeks and pick up their cheques. Speidi alluded to this in the basement during live feed last night when they said the producers were fed up of the HMs sleeping or words to that effect. Maybe that is why they are giving Rylan all the tasks, as he deserves more airtime because the rest literally do nothing? The group itself is poor mix as there are too many older women and men.

I don't think i could ever switch off.. I am actually really liking this series!

Jamie, no I dont think I can ever switch off either no matter how boring it is, who do you like in there?

thesheriff443 11-01-2013 06:56 AM

its like watching paint dry.

Cherie 11-01-2013 07:04 AM

I liked last nights show tho.

Gillian-73 11-01-2013 08:55 AM

It has been a bit boring, last nights show was good though and if tonights twist is a good one it can redeem itself

I am hoping with Speidi going back in tomorrow, it will pick up.

I remember bar Stoney having the highlights to himself for the first week of CBB9, it didn't pick up until drunken Denise stalked Michael.

Looking back at that series it was pretty good, great mix of characters.

I'm liking this series, but it's true there is a large group (Gillian, Tricia, Frankie etc) now that consists of people that are pretty uninteresting, nice but uninteresting for BB.

Livia 11-01-2013 10:54 AM

I like Razor, he makes me laugh. Rylan also makes me laugh... I've got to say though, none of them entertain me enough to make me keep watching and Claire, Tricia and Gillian are probably the most boring housemates ever. I actually turned over last night - first time ever - and although I put live feed on, I was doing other stuff and really didn't watch it. I prefer it when the drama comes from the housemates rather than the manipulation of Big Brother. The whole Speidi thing has been done before, and it's been done a lot better. I'll watch the eviction tonight, but if it doesn't pick up, I probably won't bother with it. Never thought I hear myself say that...

After live feed lastnight it showed me that this show is dead unless they get the Speidi to do something exciting. There isnt one of them that could excite me choose what they do they are just plain boring.

I agree. They can try force situations on them as much as they want - splitting them up, playing old convos, face to face noms, pretending two are leaving... But if the HM's are rubbish themselves and just not up for it then they will never get any drama.

All the best arguments have been between the HM's themselves without BB getting involved and trying to stir it. I guess you could say BB5 with the betsit was half the cause of fight night, but Emma and Victor hated eachother anyway. Plus it was a fresh idea and never been done. They're all far too aware now.

Kizzy 11-01-2013 01:14 PM

C5 must be reeling from jim davidsons arrest meaning razor went in, think they were banking on him for some drama as he is quite...er, outspoken on certain issues.

Marc 11-01-2013 01:15 PM

Speidi are getting fans because the rest are so boring

Marc 11-01-2013 01:16 PM

And the fact that they're pretty entertaining

the truth 11-01-2013 01:19 PM

no. its mindnumbing. all because we abused the big american stars. shant be watching this boring bilge.

chuff me dizzy 11-01-2013 01:26 PM

IMO the only entertainment in there is Rylan,Razor,Frankie

Mokka 11-01-2013 01:48 PM

IMO zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I hated speidi during their Hills "fame" but right now I have my fingers crossed they don't do an actual runner. I don't see the entertainment value in anyone else

Even in those series you had people like Maggot or H who just sat back and were very clearly just there to fade into the background.

The trouble is that they've cast more around 'celebs' that BB viewers might know (Corrie, Steps, Eastenders, Neighbours etc) than around people who are genuinely interesting individuals.

JAJ1942 11-01-2013 02:47 PM

I agree, they are by and large very boring people in there sadly lacking in personality the three women in particular are sadly lacking - bad choices. It waslike watching paint dry watching live feed last night. It has been a big disappointment so far.

Macie Lightfoot 11-01-2013 03:08 PM

This is still better than CBB10 though.

Why do you think so? It's pretty awful so far.

Shaun 11-01-2013 03:45 PM

There's definitely a lack of energy in there. Too many people who haven't been on telly in ten years, and with good reason.

MeMyselfAndI 11-01-2013 03:45 PM

It's one of the worst CBB's I've watched. Speidi are the only housemates that 'interest me'
