Have to be toasted, and they have to be loaded with butter, so you get those little butter pools that appear from over saturation.

They'd be all right without the raisins but as they're usually coated with them not really. Don't mind them, though.

you dont toast them u put them in the oven to warm then u cut them open and put yr butter on which then melts mmmmmm delish

Wrong on so many levels. The inside needs to be toasty with a touch of crisp so that the butter creates the perfect texture.

Tea cakes are the way to go. They're like, a secular hot cross bun. Agree on the lashings of butter, though.
