Admit it, Speidi is saving this series

What would we talk about if it wasn't for them? Nearly every topic posted involves them, for better or worse.
I don't like them as people - especially Spencer (I don't think anyone really does) but my goodness, they are the only entertainment in there.
I like Rylan, but he's not exactly riveting viewing when Speidi aren't around. None of them are. They all need Speidi to give them a storyline. Not one of them has had one without them. They are saving the series - no wonder the producers are kowtowing to them...

Jake. 12-01-2013 11:41 PM

100%. God awful people, but they are making for fantastic tv.

Tregard 12-01-2013 11:44 PM

They should win it

Macie Lightfoot 12-01-2013 11:45 PM

They're slowly killing it. Way too humorless and lacking self-awareness, just not fun to watch. They're more exhausting than anything.

Jack_ 12-01-2013 11:47 PM

Thread of the series (and year) so far.

If and when they leave, this series will die on its arse just as it was starting to before they got going. As I've said in numerous other threads I'm glad the producers are pandering to them and favouring them, it's about time they started doing that when we're in such a dire situation as we are now in that if they leave, the rest of the housemates will continue to be just as dull as they were before. They've realised just how awful a line-up they've got and are rightly getting their money's worth out of Speidi, the rest have done piss all to earn their fees.

If, and this is a big if, voters had any sense, they would survive, and they would win, but alas, even with a vote to save, a system where you'd have thought we could cull the dull, the voters who series by series tore apart any interesting elements by evicting the big characters early have found a way around it, and will ensure that this series goes out with a whimper as opposed to a bang.

camertone 12-01-2013 11:48 PM

Speidi is brilliant TV. The show would be super boring without them. Rylan's put-on fake behaviors has become so predictable and boring now..

DigitalSid 12-01-2013 11:49 PM

First of all, it's Speidi are, not is. Secondly, they're just as boring as the rest of them, just in a louder, more obnoxious way.

newsbb 12-01-2013 11:49 PM

its not really about admiting it or not. its a fact.

Suze 12-01-2013 11:51 PM

If you think one or two as one in this case, housemate is saving a series, then that series is not worth saving imo, A BB should not depend on one housemate to save it. I think the series will carry on as before no matter who is evicted next.

Agreed 110%. This is one of the dullest casts in CBB history, and with Paula gone now Heidi & Spencer are the only saving graces. I mean really, what are the rest of them going to bring to the table? You are right, I think producers are realizes they truly ****ed up the line up and are doing everything in their power to save the show by keeping in Speidi, and rightfully so.

MrWong 12-01-2013 11:55 PM

These boring accusations are getting boring

A boring housemate does not fill the first page with threads about them.

For boring see Ryan, Tricia, Gillian, Frankie, Sam.. They are barely discussed.

Rachel Rice was a boring housemate, and she inspired viewers to vote for her to win.

wendywillow 12-01-2013 11:58 PM

lets face it, at least half the house is sleep inducing (the live feed during speidis absence a good example), rylan "act" is tiresome at best, like them or not at least speidi make the others interesting by reacting. (ps ive watched every episode/bots etc and im still not sure which is tricia/gillian....maybe nice people but jeeesh)

ps
this is what speidi did on "im a celeb", grouse, complain, cause issues, walk off...etc. god bless 'em

If anyone's behavior is predictable it's Speidi's, know that much.

Once again, you're wrong.

I agree. Why the hell do people continue, series after series, to vote off so early the HM's who make the best viewing? They don't have to make them the winners necessarily - just keep entertaining people in for as long as possible to make it worth watching.
Many seem to see the whole premise as goodies versus baddies and get rid of the baddies instead of seeing it as a fascinating social insight into different characters from varying backgrounds and how they react to all kinds of situations and to each other. It takes so called 'baddies' to bring out the best and worst in others - and that in turn makes for the best viewing. It's not about everyone getting along, sitting around talking everyday chat or having 'fun' all the time. Very often, the 'baddies' eventually reveal a nicer side, and the 'goodies' reveal a nastier side - if given the chance to interact with each other for long enough. Everyone is multi - faceted if given the situations to show it - and they won't show it in a stress free nicey nicey house.

I absoutly despise the pair of them, but I am struggling to see what would be happening if they weren't there.

Yep! I just about managed 15 minutes of the live feed the other night before I gave up, and I know I didn't miss a thing of any interest whatsoever above basement level.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Colbert-Bump 13-01-2013 02:45 AM

Speidi, Paula & Rylan are the only people saving this series, the other housemates are garbage.

JeanP! 13-01-2013 02:47 AM

Indeed they are

aman201 13-01-2013 03:47 AM

Of course they are.

Without them, this would probably be one of the worst BB's of all time.

no if speidi is evicted it will turn into the biggest bore fest in the history of television. what would they talk about? How Claires in steps? i cant even think of anything interesting to say about the majority of the housemates

SharkAttack 13-01-2013 07:31 AM

Don't really care for them, nor want them to win, but they're entertaining the hell out of the place right now. Guess we'll see how long that goes on before they leave and we get full episodes of "Gillian hesitantly shaves Razor's back in bathtub" or "Tricia has lengthy conversation with Claire about sorted childhood," and the showstopper: "The House turns on the Aussie."

Patricia4 13-01-2013 07:48 AM

Speidi is brilliant TV without them it would be dead.
