Are you anxious?
About what happens when you are out after hearing shocking and scary stories on the news here, or are you calm and sensible so it does not stop you from getting around?
I liketo think I am more of the second, but you have to keep your wits about yourself still. |

Anxiety as a medical ailment is all fine and well - suffered it for years before getting into meditation and stuff - but the sort of news paranoia 'the world's never been a more dangerous place to live in' [HA!] stuff ... that sort of stuff is ridiculous. Extreme exceptions pending [I.E. you live in the Lebanon or something].

Agree Stu. Nice to see you back.
I suffer from anxiety too. I'm a contstant worrier, I think something is always gonna go wrong. Started taking medication and stopped drinking alcohol over a year ago and am much better. Those stories dont affect me either cuiz I know theirs not much chance of that kind of thing happening. |
I don't go out enough to get anxious about news stories
|
Nothing would stop me going out, as long as people take sensible precautions, of course you might end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, but you could suffer a a freak fatal accident indoors (Nathan). What will be will be, live your life.

..I don't get anxious about anything in the media and it doesn't effect how I live my life...but if something happens to one of my family, like when my son was attacked then that does cause some anxieties about being helpless to protect them and it takes me a while to let go of that....
..my only anxieties are with what has happened and not what could happen... ..association... |
Having been mugged a couple of times I am aware, but not anxious.
