No in all seriousness, if they stuck Denise of EastEnders into the house she'd probably do better than Gillian. The Housemates are acting like the woman is a massive soap star that could of easily won. That was Cheryl Ferguson last year, not this wreck.

They always big their celebs up to be some sort of superstars when in reality, they're z-list flops.

She's not been in Eastenders for over ten years, maybe more. I don't get how's she's a national treasure either?

I think it's a description of many celebrities that is used too lightly,however when she was Kathy Beale in Eastenders, apparantly she was extremly popular so maybe for a time she was well loved by viewers of Eastenders.

I quite like her though and although she did little dramatic in the house, I feel she didn't warrant being voted out on Friday.

Gillians hardly a flop.

Shes achieved alot as an actress and has had a really succesful career.

Pisses me off that people look at some celebs as a piece of sh!t based on how famous they are. You aint famous so does that mean you're a failure?

I agree, I think she is a good actress and I also think she is really nice looking too,I also like her personality and wish we had seen more of that from her in the house.

she's far more successful than 99% of people
but national treasures are more successful than 99.999999% of people
Terry Wogan, Michael Parkinson, Maggie Smith, Michael Caine are what most people think of as national treasures
not Kaffy Beale

My opinion is that her careers nearing it's end like the rest of the house as much of a nice person she is (which isn't what the threads asking about), Rylan can't go any further after this.... Tricia will be working in a bar..

Whatever you think of her she is an absolute EastEnders legend, much more than Steve McFadden.

Phil Mitchell has become a staple of british popular culture. He's way bigger than Kathy Beale.
