CBB or BB?

Celebrity Big Brother or the regular series...what's your favourite?

AnnieK 24-01-2013 04:43 PM

Regular BB without question

Smithy 24-01-2013 04:48 PM

CBB, it's shorter

Maia 24-01-2013 04:52 PM

Normal BB

Jake. 24-01-2013 05:00 PM

Regular

Jordan. 24-01-2013 05:06 PM

Normal, getting bored of celeb series now.

joeysteele 24-01-2013 05:06 PM

I really like CBB but it is too short really, I prefer seeing the changes of attitude in the regular one and having to take time to get to feel some sort of connection to some or all of the housemates.

I have a feeling that I will much prefer the regular series of BB this year to this early CBB one, there hasn't been much of great interest to me as to this CBB.
Other than Rylan and Spencer and Heidi who have really been the only ones we have been shown a lot of on the highlights.

reece(: 24-01-2013 05:34 PM

CBB is so rubbish in comparison.

Jack_ 24-01-2013 06:54 PM

Big Brother. It's the original and what the actual concept of the show is meant to be - watching a bunch of strangers live in a house.

I am sick to death of C5's obsession with the celebrity series, and I am particularly worried by how many people are now starting to prefer it. I overheard someone the other day say 'I only like and watch the celebrity one, the normal one is so boring', this is exactly the kind of thing C5 want and it's awful. CBB was always supposed to be a little bit of fun in the terrible month of January, something to watch and tide the time over until the main event in the summer. Now it's like some regurgitated, never-ending thing that just won't piss off. It hit me the other day when Emma said 'in a few days time we'll be crowning our first celebrity winner of the year' just how ridiculous it is - we've got another batch of z-listers to put up with and yet again the main show is going to be cut short just so that we can roll out three more weeks of the overexposed CBB.

To be honest I'm just sick of the fascination with celebrities on all of these shows, it's like the public have no place on them anymore. Dancing celebrities, skating celebrities, diving celebrities, celebrities answering questions, celebrities eating kangaroo bollocks...just ****ing stop already. It's as if all networks are quickly conjuring up ideas for what celebrities could be doing next...celebrities sh*tting! Celebrities wanking! Celebrities *****ing! CELEBRITY S&M!!!!!!

What's interesting about Big Brother is how you get to know the housemates with no preconceived ideas about them, most of them with no media training and are just going in for the experience, the game, fame, whatever. It's interesting to see how they interact with each other, what relationships/friendship form etc. They're also a lot less reserved and won't hold back because they've not much to lose. And it lasts longer (and should return to 13 weeks again if it weren't for...you guessed it, another series of CBB), there's much more time to get to know them and for stuff to happen.

Big Brother is and always will be the daddy of reality TV. The original and best.

God forbid it's ever axed and we're just left with it's little sister. Sh*t will hit the fan.

King Gizzard 24-01-2013 06:56 PM

Will always be normal series. Don't like CBB

I like not having a clue who the housemates are and spending a week or so getting to know them before having favourites

You can go on a journey with the HMs on normal BB as well, with CBB the journey's over.

Sophiee 24-01-2013 07:43 PM

it depends on what celebrities go in.

Cherie 24-01-2013 07:45 PM

Normal BB for me, everyone on a level playing field, no pre conceived ideas about them, just their clips to go on, love it

Shaun 24-01-2013 08:38 PM

Regular. Fewer inhibitions, fewer divas, no prejudice.

Hit the nail on the head, bang on.

Fed up with this constant arselicking of CBB - it's obvious really what Channel 5 are doing though, getting as much 'Celebs' as they can to be associated with their channel - so they can invite them on to do sh*te like Celebrity Wedding Planner or new shows.
That's all Big Brother ever was to them, a platform to gain more celebrities to take part in their sh*tty shows - Big Brother 13 was one of the best series the show has ever had, and instead of Channel 5 holding it up and being proud of it - like they should of been, they cut it down and shove a ridiculously sh*te CBB10 down our throats.

You'd think they'd of learnt from last year, and the year before that - that Celebrity Big Brother isn't meant for the Summer, and never will be.

Would suit them so much better instead of thinking of what celebrities they can get in August, to save their budget - and spend it all on proper promotion for BB14 AND put it towards the house reconstruction.

This post sums up my thoughts perfectly. Another wonderful post, Jack.

If I was going to watch it, then it would be CBB. I really don't have the stamina or patience for a daily show that runs for nearly 3 months.

Smithy 26-01-2013 03:01 PM

-high fives Niall-

Marcus. 26-01-2013 03:02 PM

Both the same

jyunga 27-01-2013 06:40 AM

Regular BB.

Don't understand the hate for C5 milking CBB. As long as it's making them money it'll keep the house going and keep BB going. Better then them not milking it and dropping BB altogether like C4 did.

Scotty07 28-01-2013 05:35 AM

Nothing like marathon BB, taking all the time I like to judge most of them one by one.:devil: Now if only they'd finally do the right thing by bringing back the old in with live feed and extra two or three weeks a series of old, plus putting in the new system of no evictions for the first two weeks at least.

:(

Munchkins 28-01-2013 06:31 AM

Big Brother..
I HATE CBB and the fact theres 2 a year is just ridiculous
