No open auditions for BB14?
 

This seems a bit strange, and worrying, but then again they said they did this for BB5 and BB6 which ended up being perhaps the most entertaining groups of housemates ever - so hopefully this will be a good thing.

bb6 had open audition's

no problem i was at bb6 audition's and filled my form in next to saskia:hugesmile:
its a real shame not to have open audition's not every one will want to do an online audition.

BB5 had open auditions too, the last one to not were BB4.

You submit an online video, and if the producers are interested, you get a callback to meet with them in person.

They are also using "Talent Spotters" (which they have done in the past), where they look for random people on the street who look interesting and ask them to audition

you have to upload a video on line and fill in a small form.

You submit an application form with a 1 minute YouTube video, the best applicants get their videos viewed and the auditionees with the best videos progress.

How did they do it for the first four series then?

I don't think it makes much difference - it's so much easier to do a video than it was back in BB4. From what I gather, the 'callbacks' will basically be identical to the usual open auditions anyway, minus the first stages.

It's not like BB's such a big deal to people nowadays that they might actually randomly go into the audiiton for a laugh - the fans/desperados can go the online route and they can recruit to get people outside the usual demographics.

Exactly the same but with VHS.

Has its negatives and positives but ultimately it could be a good move

you will get media savi people that are up loading on you tube all the time,
plus you can do your video over and over to get it right, there is nothing like an open audition, its lazy on bb parts,people that take the time to travel to bb are the one's more likly to make good housemate's
