Speidi tell it how it is to OFCOM

Quote:

"WE would caution the Ofcom people not to watch any episodes of Lost. There's a guy on there named Ben who does some pretty terrible things to people.

Also, DEFINITELY steer clear of any of the original Star Wars movies. There's a guy in a big black suit named Darth Vader who kills people just by using his mind!

Oh, and definitely don't go near any Looney Tunes cartoons! There's this coyote who tries to EAT the main character! Only he gets anvils dropped on his head so there's twice the evil! The horror!!!

While they're at it, they should probably stay away from taxis in case they get an angry driver or the coffee shop to avoid a waitress having a bad day.

No family reunions either because let's be honest, everyone has that one uncle who's a jerk to people, right? The world is a complex place. There are villains out there. Some of them are actual villains. Some just play villains on TV.

But what would Star Wars be if there were no Empire to defeat? Villains are essential to our culture, both our art and our real lives. We don't condone violence and we don't condone bullying. We do, however, get paid to be on television.

Television that would be much less watchable if there were no conflict. So please, in the nicest, most properly British way possible, put on your big girl knickers and stop whining.

Sincerely, Heidi and Spencer"

Those people don't have a brain. When Facebook is mentioned on here as a way to slate my favourites 'LOOK FACEBOOK HATE THEM' it's like, 'like I really give a ****e' :joker:

How are these people just so stupid? I'm failing to understand how it could at all be difficult to 'get' what they're saying with this letter. Baffling.

So today the stuff printed in the Star is true again? So hard to keep track...

Amy Jade 31-01-2013 12:28 PM

Love them if they said that!

Kazanne 31-01-2013 12:32 PM

Are we all supposed to believe The Star now that it has a favourable article about them? It was slated as a rag mag not long ago for an article that wasn't so favourable.:joker:

Kizzy 31-01-2013 01:01 PM

Oh if it makes your point logical you could site anything as a credible reference kaanne...hahaha!

I guess it begs the question then to those criticising the source - if this is true, do you also agree with their evidently valid and truthful points?

agree 100%

MrWong 31-01-2013 02:07 PM

Spencer retweeted a tweet from a Daily Star journo that mentioned the open letter.

Would he do that if the letter was made up by the paper?

Also, the stories that are fairy tales usually have no direct quotes, just "a friend says" or "a source says". When tabloids avoid using direct quotes you can safely say that the story is a load of ****e.
