Please note tonight

LEE 26-10-2002 09:07 AM

I'm hopeless at remembering when the clocks change, so thanks for the reminder Sticks

Sticks 26-10-2002 06:05 PM

As far as I am aware the general rule is that the clocks go forward on the last Sunday Morning in March and Back the last Sunday in October

to put it anotherway

Spring Forward
Fall Back

Mairi 26-10-2002 06:14 PM

Thanks for the reminder, Sticks.

Hurray!! A whole extra hour tomorrow.

:hello:

LEE 26-10-2002 06:20 PM

Thanks Sticks.

I knew the Spring forward, Fall back rhyme but could never remember which weekends it was.

That reminds me I'm on gmt -1 Azores time to get the server clock adjusted to my computer clock. The server clock is also 5 mins slow as well.:conf:

LEE 26-10-2002 06:57 PM

We do know this Steve and agree that it is annoying, unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it as we are not in control of the server clock.

One of the jobs I was going to do tomorrow was go through and double check everyone's clock settings to get them right after the clocks change tonight.

WILDCHILD 26-10-2002 07:12 PM

Knowing me I will go to work an hour early and wonder why no oneis around - then it will click!!:flower:

Sticks 26-10-2002 07:32 PM

That happened to a former line manager of mine when I used to work for QSP.

Usually the problems happen when the clocks go forward and people turn up late for church. As the editor of the church newsletter at is apparently my responsibility to make sure everyone sets their clocks right.

Just a reminder

This weekend British Summer Time ends

Boris 24-10-2003 09:41 PM

Thanks Sticks.

BTW I like your memory jogger

Spring - forward
Fall - back

Very clever :spin2:

I once worked with a very dozy guy who turned up an hour late to work after the clocks went back. I would have given him some leeway, but this was a Monday morning and he'd had a WHOLE DAY to get adjusted to the new time!

Cruel person that I am, I made him work an extra hour at the end of the day!

Amy 26-10-2003 10:38 AM

I've only just realised teh clocks have gone back i'm up early :bawling: Thick or what

Sticks 29-10-2005 06:25 PM

Dan_ 30-10-2005 03:42 PM

I'm still used to the old time. Woke up at 8 mentally thinking it was 9.

Corkie 30-10-2005 03:47 PM

i woke up at 10 and my mum and grandma said

"your early!"

and i was like :conf:

Siouxsie 30-10-2005 05:17 PM

made no difference to me

cc100 30-10-2005 07:00 PM

I hate the darkness, its very depressing.

I dont like it getting dark before I get home.

James 31-10-2005 09:32 AM

The day after the clocks change I'm never sure what the time is  ... some clocks need to be changed, some don't - like computers.

I'd actually have GMT all year round if it was up to me - that's the actual time for this country i.e noon is at 12.

All times are GMT. The time now is 09:53 AM.
