I'm thinking of becoming the next Pope

So, after a lots of deep spiritual thinking I have decided that is the path I want to go down. I know it's a hard job and that but definitely think I can handle it. The only bit I'm struggling with is how to actually go about it. Do you know if I can apply online or?

Applications can be made directly to me. Alternatively, I have outsourced the recruitment to monster jobs.co.uk.

Please send in a full CV with a cover letter, explaining what you have to offer.

Jesus - I work in recruitment, I'll hapily help you sift CVs if you like.....

Joe just wants everyone to bow before him and kiss his ring! :joker:

What kind of rec do you do Annie? I used to do that, and my work now is linked to PSL tenders, bids and contract management.

I am an account manager dealing with secretarial and clerical recruitment, contract and permanent mainly to local government departments...so from tendering for PSLs from PQQ stage, dealing with Vendor Neutrals, direct client liaison and actual placing the staff...

Good 'ol government contracts and their low margins - especially in admin. I bet you work off about 8-10% margins with government rec don't you? Do you manage private sector clients, too?

Oh yep....the margins are ridiculous now....even more so now they have gone down the Vendor Neutral route and so everything goes through a third party and out to every agency....... The new AWR legislation did nothing to help either.....Recruitment used to be so much more lucrative. Luckily, I do have private sector clients to keep me sane (and earning commission)...

I can see you quite clearly as the new Pope :D Pope InOne the first. Do you get a PopeMobile? :D

I know - why do you think I got out of it?! The first company I worked for, I won an Audi TT (I sold it as I'm not a hairdresser but it added to the deposit on my flat), soon dried up though, and commission structures changed. To begin with I earned 25% commission on all billings - I was making a fortune for a while. I still do high level perm rec within health and Social care. I only deal with salaries over 60k now and charge between 12-18%.

Mmm...the days when commission was more than twice my basic are long gone but I still enjoy the recruiting side...we work on similar percentages but much lower salary levels so our billings are an awful lot less than yours LOL. We used to make up for it in volume though but every placement is a fight now....more and more agencies offering flat fees and driving commercial recruitment down....
