Catfish

Hey do any of you watch Catfish on MTV?

What do you think about it?

People on twitter etc, when mentioning it seem to always be like oh how stupid do you need to be to believe these people are real?

But do we always instantly want to believe people online are the people they say? I know I do, I instantly just assume people are telling the truth because I am but what kinda person do you need to be to lie about who you are?

I actually have cried at every single episode so far because it must be soul destroying to think that you are in love with someone and their personality and then to find out it was all a lie.

I remember years ago on here, we used to make people make signs in a photo of them to prove who they are but should we need to do that?

What do you think about it all?

I am just a hopeless romantic I think

I really don't like the show, it creeps the hell out of me!
:(

Is it like a spin-off of that horror film?

What shocked me is some of them decided to stay together even after finding out the truth

I remember when people used to do that on Bebo, force people to make signs as 'proof' or you'd literally get harrased by nasty girls and himbos calling you fake until you did and then you'd get invited to stupid groups where you'd basically get graded and people saying stuff like 'who'd fake her she's ugly' and stuff. Vicious circle.

Seen the first episode and the one that was on the other week with the musician guy. Looks fake to me really the people would never give them their home address to go to just to reveal themself as a fake person, pretty good show though

The show doesn't actually find people being Catfish'd, they search for the Catfishes who want to reveal who they are or whatever, film it from the other person's perspective and pay for everything. Money's always a good incentive.
