Graham Norton \'Attacks\' Big Brother & Davina

Graham Norton has attacked both Big Brother & Davina.

The Sun says : 'The camp comic hit out at bosses for letting unstable people on the show.' He also says that he hates Richard and calls him a evil bully for attacking Shahbaz who clearly had mental issues.
Graham also says that Nikki was “too stupid to be mentally ill” & about Pete he said : “I’m so over him. Why doesn’t he just take some medication?”

FULL STORY HERE - The Sun Online

In the Daily Record they say Graham also 'attacked' Davina.

Who is Graham Norton?

Isn't he that guyt that reads stories on Cbeebies?

I see a case of celebrity jealously in these stories. I think he would to be put of big brother rather a chessey dance show.

PWN3D 27-07-2006 09:11 AM

Who is he? Who is he? Who is he?

Lol

Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid in the HP Films) also has had a go @ BB because it's... hold on...

PWN3D 27-07-2006 09:16 AM

"The Big Brother team had better watch out because Harry Potter star Robbie Coltran has blasted them for being unfair treatment of the housemates. 'I hate Big Brother' he says. 'It's cruel, manipulative and brings out the worst in people. People used togo to asylums and laugh at people dribbling - there's an element of that. They're setting people up.' "

- Now I like Robbie Coltrane but it's not that cruel, I mean, it's not like they're forced to go on it, they apply, put thmeselves in for it. And would it really be good telly if each and every day they weren't given a hard time. The housemates and the viewers exect (a small form of) cruelty in there. It's all volutary!!

PWN3D 27-07-2006 09:17 AM

That was taken from "What's on TV, issue 30!" 29 jul - 4 aug 2006

I think Robbie Coltrane has a good point. Yes, they go in there voluntarily, but I don't think they can begin to imagine how it must be in there - who can, unless they've done it? They are all wannabees, who see this as their ticket to fame and fortune, without actually needing a talent. Some people are put in there because they will make good tv, even though it isn't really good for their welfare - they put unstable people in there, and anyone with half a brain can see that it's not a good idea for some of the housemates to enter. But they think that the housemates might lose it, etc., etc., which makes good tv. It's basically exploiting people for entertainment. And face it, lots of people like to see people being humiliated - look at the amount of people who thought it was funny when Shahbaz was locked out of the house and the other housemates took his clothes. That wasn't funny, it was cruel and nasty behaviour, but it was shown as entertainment. When people get upset and break down and cry - it's shown as entertainment.

Big Brother has displayed a remarkable lack of responsibility or interest in the housemates' welfare.

It's about individual reactions to situations they are unnacustomed to.

For Glyn this was cooking meals and doing his own cleaning. For Richard it might have been something else. For each housemate it has been a learning event about themselves for the most part.

Shabaz was borderline granted, but Endomel and the BB production company doesn't have a crystal ball.

Entertainment is derived in many forms. I enjoy watching UFC shows. Cruel show? No trained talented athletes doing what they're good at and have trained for. Big Brother is probably harder then walking into an octogan with medical staff and a referee to prevent too much damage.

Who'd have thought Big Brother and a mixed martial arts contest could be likened to each other?

In both cases, the people involved know what they are getting themselves into. They all know it's a ticket for fame and popularity and they take that risk and gamble because, well maybe they like the fame and popularity.

Its rich coming from Graham Norton who spent weeks attacking and then supporting Jade , on his late night show that used to follow BB3.

He totally bought into the tabloid 'miss piggy' image of Jade at one stage, wearing a pigs head as I recall. At the time Jade appeared as mentally delicate as any HM we have seen ,yet he lapped up the laffs then.Hypocrite.

Shahbaz was borderline - and no they didn't have a crystal ball. But they didn't need a crystal ball to see what could happen there - it was obvious to me and I'm no psychologist. Same with Nikki - her desperate desire for attention and her vulnerability was completely obvious. It was pretty clear from day 2 that she was vulnerable.

As for being a ticket to fame and popularity - that's the point - it isn't! It's a ticket to 15 minutes of fame. How many ex BB housemates have managed to really forge a good career out of BB? Jade Goody?

I don't believe that the contestants always know what they're getting into - they imagine they are going to be loved and adored and become massively famous? The truth? The girls usually end up posing topless on some lad's mag (if they are deemed attractive enough), they usually get seen stumbling blind drunk out of parties and premieres for a few weeks, and then they get forgotten.

I haven't seen the UFC show you refer to, so I can't really comment on that.

And I still don't believe that watching 13 people gang up on the 14th one, as the other housemates did with Shahbaz, is entertainment. It made for very uncomfrotable viewing, and I don't think it should be shown as entertainment

Babydoll456 27-07-2006 03:48 PM

Graham Norton is an idiot

GlitterEyes 27-07-2006 03:51 PM

Graham Norton is pathetic and a huge hypocrit.

GDJ 27-07-2006 04:20 PM

Who cares what Graham Norton thinks he's not in the least important !

SNEEZER 27-07-2006 05:16 PM

Yet another Z list celebrity back Glyn to win!

Foebane100 27-07-2006 05:22 PM

If you read the story he has a go at Angelina Jolie for all things adopting children. This is just pathetic, it is clear that she is a good mother and why should she not give the advantages of her life to orphaned children. Say anything you like about her, but this is something she has done that has been for the good.

.schillaci 27-07-2006 08:40 PM

they've thrown a bunch of children into the house this year
. bb is much more child like, bblb turned into a childrens show- but its going like this, why they,re doing it i dont know

easypeasy 27-07-2006 08:44 PM

Graham Norton won the award one year for best presenter on the Jack Docherty Show - beating out Jack Docherty!

I actually was in the audience for one of the shows he hosted - he's hilarious!
