So we know Big Brother has had a range of different exteriors. But which one was the worst?

1. Big Brother 1/2
The Studio and then the exterior walkway from the House across the bridge and out through the crowd

The large and permanent stage which was put up and the floor based door. A Large presenting podium in the centre of the crowd

Circular presenting podium with the stairs connected. BB7 had little walkways attached

The presenting podium was moved along with the stairs. Extended walkway from the stairs to the House.

Presenting podium was a different shape and a screen erected. Screen was moved for BB10

The presenting podium was lowered and changed completely and the stairs were changed slightly.

Big Brother 8 easily the worst - I liked the idea of the longer walkway at the time but in retrospect it was just awkward

Channel 5 set-up is the best overall

BB11's was absolutely awful, I remember I detested everything about eviction nights that year (the set-up, that awful intro music, overusing the BB theme). They ruined everything that was once great about Channel 4 evictions.

I just hated how it was basically not even a stage, just a carpet. I don't know, it was awful.

BB7's is my favourite.

BB6/BB7/BB9/BB10
I liked those.

Liked channel 5 ones at start but are quite boring now.

BB10 was discusting... the long scafolding with the widescreen. That and I like the podiums when they just have designs and not the eye. They size of the crowd seemed so small, and the house looked plain as I cant remember them ever projecting anything on to it.

I dont like the current set-up either, I think it looks like they are trying too hard. Its like they are trying to cram as much lights and screens into a small space.

BB5's was amazing, managed to get huge crowds packed in :) I hated the one used for BB10, each eviction looked like they'd just asked a few shoppers from Tesco's to pop down.

BB8 has got to be the worst. I think that BB11 and the c5 are the best though.

Worst by far, is BB11's. It was absolutely ****ing hideous and pissed me off so much, ask anyone on here from 2010.
I went into instant hatred for BB11 once I saw the state of the stage and the tackiness of the whole Circus thing :laugh:.

Best though, is obviously BB6/BB7s :worship: Why they ever ****ing changed that is beyond me. It was perfect.

BB11, tacky hideous mess and whoever thought having the crowd layout like that would work deserves death.

Current one ATM is the worst one. It just looks really tacky, and the stands and the eye stage take up too much space IMO, plus the fact that you can see the scaffolding that holds up the screen. BB7 one is my fave along with the eviction studio, it just looked amazing on the final.

BB9 and I really like the current set up. If only they could get more people in there

Why are there no pics of BB 1 or 2?

They were by far the best set ups!

Davina herself said it felt like a rave coz they could fit thousands of people there.

Just watch BB1/BB2 finale and its breathtaking.

Channel 5 set up could have been good if that eye was further away from the house, the walkway was ground level and the stands taken down.

As ugly as the exterior was for BB11 the crowds were huge.

I remember going to an eviction and it was ****ing deafening now you can just chat to people in the crowd without even raising your voice lol.

I most definitely agree with this.

6/7 was the best. Although I loved 1/2 as well. That looked like a real event, loads of people and it fell like they were stretched out for miles (well slight exaggeration but still).

I quite liked BB11, it felt party like which fit for it being the final one at the time.

8 wasn't terrible but it has the same problem the channel 5 sets have. They're awkward and just look in the way. In those aspects less is definitely more.

Not a huge fan of the outdoor set up so it's easier actually to highlight the best than the worst. Generally speaking the worst have been the series where they've just had a stage at the bottom of the stairs and that's it - so BB6/9/10. BB11 looks a lot better, and while BB8 wasn't perfect I kind of liked the idea and it kind of put the stage centre stage, rather than at one end of the crowd.


You've not put a picture here and I suspect many newer fans wouldn't like it but for me BB4 is the best set up they've had at Elstree as it most closely resembled what they used to have at Bow. The crowd was pulled away from the house and instead lined the route to the studio, with a huge fence between the crowd and the house which IMO gives the evictee that crucial breathing space in between leaving the house and meeting the public, space in which they were reunited with family and Davina had a quick word before guiding them through the crowd and straight into the studio.

I'd say BB5 and BB8 were the best
