Poundworld..

I get so annoyed when I go in my local one and they have just like one person on the till serving people sometimes and when it is busy with lots of people queing it is even worse. Does it happen in your local store?

i don't shop at "poundworld" or the American equivalent the Dollar Store.

If i were you, i'd be too embarassed to complain, cause yur admitting that you buy that chinese CRAP from that CRAP store.

In Reading, the poundshop is right next to the 99p store. So I wouldn't know about your upstreet market going-ons.

(I should really take a photo, people still go into poundshop, it's quite funny)

There's also a "99 pence or less store" 2 minutes down the road but I don't associate myself with those scum.

Poundword is on the workfare scheme, don't they have a few slaves they can till train.... or are they just there to ride the treadmill to power the electricity generator?

There was an interesting documentary on poundland a while back and their selling techniques, some of the stuff they sell is smaller in size than would be sold in an everyday supermarket, so they can end up being more expensive, so check prices on a like for like basis, I buy stuff in poundland occasionally, I would rather have a pound extra in my pocket than in the supermarkets.

I think I saw that too Cherie, they also sell things for a pound that you can pick up in the supermarkets for maybe 79p etc, but yeah I also still go into pound shops occasionally.

I missed that cherie but I agree totally you have to be a very savvy shopper in there.
Medicines, DIY stuff and cleaning products are still a bargain though, I never buy any foodstuffs in poundword.
