Manchester EDL protest: 15 arrested...
Fifteen people were arrested after a protest by hundreds of supporters and opponents of the English Defence League (EDL) in Manchester.
About 700 EDL demonstrators gathered in Albert Square with about 350 people taking part in a counter protest. Police stepped up their presence and said trouble had been minimal. Ch Supt John O'Hare said: "I would like to thank both the people of Manchester and the majority of protesters for their conduct." |
Thought they would have disbanded now their leader is in jail.
