What should I do?

This Friday is the birthday night out of a girl I work with and she's invited me but we have had previous problems, she spoke badly about me and basically it got back to me and I confronted her and we argued called each other a few names.

Would you go out to celebrate with her or not?

Marcus. 04-03-2013 09:34 PM

ermm i would try to test the water first

LemonJam 04-03-2013 09:34 PM

Depends if you feel you're able to mend fences in the relationship or not.

Marsh. 04-03-2013 09:34 PM

Well is she making an effort to patch things up?

Drew. 04-03-2013 09:35 PM

if she's buying the drinks.. then YES

GypsyGoth 04-03-2013 09:36 PM

Yep, may as well try and be friends, could be the invitation is her way of an apology.

Try for a fresh start with her.

Her boyfriend has put £200 behind the bar, Drew, so yeah free drinks.

Ammi 04-03-2013 09:40 PM

..she's invited you so she's obviously ok..if you want to go, I would go and start afresh sort of thing...it's not good to hang onto stuff...you'll probably have a really good time as well...

..you would have felt bad if she hadn't asked you, but she did...it's kind of your move now...she's made hers...

..have a great time...

Argument or no argument, it'd be rude to turn down a free bar, may as well go along :joker: if she starts getting mouthy you can just sling a glass of your free drink that her boyfriend has paid for over her in true soap style

Jordan. 04-03-2013 09:41 PM

Free drinks and a previous falling out, sounds like another fight waiting to happen :suspect:

Me. I Am Salman 04-03-2013 09:42 PM

Why are people bringing up drinks, you can still party without alcohol you know

Amy Jade 04-03-2013 09:47 PM

The things she said were really nasty though, not getting into it but it was stuff that's hard to forgive.

Free drinks don't matter to me, I am just wondering if I would look a bitch not showing up.

Ramsay 04-03-2013 09:50 PM

If you are cool with eachother now, yeah go for it but if its still weird and awkward between you two just dont bother

No you wouldn't seem like a bitch but you would seem like you don't yet forgive her. Which is probably accurate.

Ammi 04-03-2013 09:59 PM

..as you work with her SH..do you think that there would be an atmosphere or it would be difficult/awkward at work if you didn't go..?...

lostalex 04-03-2013 10:06 PM

It sounds like you already know that she's not someone that you will ever be friendly with. (she sounds like a b**ch) so i wouldnt bother.

I would make a quick appearance, a 10 minutes meet and great, just so no one can say you didn't come, and then get out of there as quickly as possible.

That's what I'd do.

Kizzy 04-03-2013 10:13 PM

I would drink all her beer and snog her boyfriend... ;)

Brother Leon 04-03-2013 10:17 PM

Go and steal her boyfriend.

lostalex 04-03-2013 10:22 PM

I changed my mind, you should drink all her beer, and then go stalk kizzy.

King Gizzard 04-03-2013 10:23 PM

If you've been invited by her, I probably would if I was you

Amy Jade 04-03-2013 10:28 PM

I'm not drunk Alex lol
