Comic Relief: have you donated?

Have you? how much?

I'm not a fan of comic relief. I know they raise a lot of money, but it seems as though it's packed full of people with stuff to flog.

I also don't think news people dancing to one direction, or some other ****e is in anyway funny. I do give to charities, but not ones that raise such huge amounts of money already.

Some of it is god awful but it's all worth it. OneD doing the song is great because they're so bloody famous and it's all for a good cause. But I hate them covering that song and they should be shaved

I had no idea 1d were involved. I was making reference to that newscaster segment they always do, when they make them do a dance from grease or something.

Yeah, its hard to watch. I remember a few years ago, watching a short film about malaria, and I wasn't just a wee bit upset, I was full blown, head in hands sobbing and wailing.

I Agree.

Also it needs to get off the BBC
and go to another channel.

If it's the one that's all about giving to Africa then no.

Patrick 14-03-2013 07:41 PM

No. And I don't donate in school either for local charities or for Africa.

Even in McDonalds when I have 5p change, I refuse to stick it in the donation box - you can call me ignorant or selfish, but I honestly think it's in Britain's best interest to look out for our own and sort our own ******ing economic problems out first, before trying to help other countries every year.

In School when teachers come round with a bucket for donations I refuse to pay aswell and everyone has a go at me, as Tesco say - every little helps, and in times like these I'd much rather spend my money on something that will benefit me, my family or friends rather than a ******ing charity who seem to look for the same sh*te every year and really don't seem to be making that much progress considering how much they raise.

Marc 14-03-2013 07:43 PM

I hear 5p is exactly what is needed to fix our economy. Thanks Patrick

Livia 14-03-2013 07:48 PM

I won't be watching and I won't be donating. I do give to charity but Comic Relief is just awful. All those comedians and actors being all pious and tugging at your heart strings, it just feels so insincere. It's already dragged on for weeks and every time I see another embarrassingly unfunny programme linked with it I imagine African dictators thumbing through catalogues wondering if they could swing a new G6.
