Skins is to return to E4 in July.

The teen drama will air three new TV films - Skins Rise, Skins Fire and Skins Pure - which are expected to wrap up the series.

Skins Rise will mark the return of bad boy Cook (Jack O'Connell) - now working as a drug peddler in Manchester, the tearaway is forced to confront his violent past.

Sherlock's Lara Pulver and Facejacker star Kayvan Novak will guest star in Skins Fire, which focuses on the character of Effy (Kaya Scodelario) and will also feature Skins favourites Naomi (Lily Loveless) and Emily (Kathryn Prescott).

Final instalment Skins Pure will see Hannah Murray reprise the role of Cassie, who will be seen "adrift, alone and invisible in London" before forming a poignant friendship with a mysterious stranger.

Looking forward to them although I think Effy's should've been the last episode. And I am still disappointed more of the cast aren't back :(

I'm kind of dubious about it because as much as I love Skins it's so hit and miss, so I'd want it to end right. Rise sounds decent, Pure will ruin the happy ending for Sid/Cassie I imagined in my head. :laugh:

I just think Effy kinda defined Skins, she's the longest serving character and it'd seem only fitting for her to have the last episode :p but I guess it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

I'm sure these three episodes were supposed to be split up into two one hour parts for each though. I hope that's still happening.

Emily and Naomi should have their own TV show and Cook should have featured in Effy's ep.

Shoulda got Sid to feature in Cassie's as well.

The E4 drama will return for three special films - Skins Fire with Kaya Scodelario (Effy), Skins Pure starring Hannah Murray (Cassie) and Skins Rise featuring Jack O'Connell (Cook).

Guest stars for the final run include Craig Roberts (Submarine), Lucien Laviscount (Waterloo Road), Olly Alexander (Great Expectations) and Neil Morrissey, reprising his role as Cassie's dad.

Skins Fire also stars Lily Loveless (Naomi) and Kathryn Prescott (Emily) - plus guest stars Lara Pulver and Kayvan Novak - and will see Effy's life spiral out of control as she uncovers evidence of a major financial fraud and embarks on an affair with her wealthy boss.

Skins Pure will follow a lonely Cassie in London as she strikes up a "strange and poignant" friendship, only for her new relationship to come under threat. Charlene McKenna (Ripper Street), Daniel Ben Zenou (Strike Back) and Red Madrell (Kidulthood) also star.

Cook (Jack O'Connell) returns in Skins Rise, working as a drug peddler until his attraction to his employer's girlfriend sets off a chain of events that lead him into a world of savage revenge.

Lucien Laviscount appears opposite O'Connell in this final film, with Liam Boyle (Scott & Bailey), Esther Smith (Material Girl), Hannah Britland (Misfits) and Jamie Michie (Game of Thrones) making up the rest of the cast.

The Skins films are expected to air on E4 in July.

I'm so happy Cassie's coming back. She's my favorite female character ever, so ending on her is such good news, i'm so excited for this. Cassie :love:

Yeah im disappointed that there's no other gen 1s. After all, I'm sure Mitch Hewer, Mike Bailey, April Pearson and Larissa Wilson would have been available.
Understandable if Nick, Dev and Joe didn't want to come back. :idc:
