Private appeals idiocy - because we should know better.
 

So.........on the back of Dezzy's "appeal section etiquette" thread yesterday, I thought it might be quite a good idea to laugh at ourselves a bit. I've written lots of things in that section that I cringe at when I think back to them, and I hope most of you feel the same way.

The ground rules:

1) If you are discussing another forum member in PA, you must make sure the name is blanked out - even if it's obvious who it must be.

2) No replies from Mods are to be posted in here.

3) This isn't a thread to discuss how oppressed we all are by the fascists that keep this place ticking over.

It's supposed to be stuff you cringe at, not necessarily find funny. If you're too cool for school (unlike me) then you may not have anything. I've got some really cringey stuff that I'm holding back to see if anyone else joins in.

I don't think I've ever appealed.

It's a good job it's optional then. It's a thread to poke fun at ourselves. I haven't posted any of the reasons for my appeals, I've just posted a couple of comments (I have many worse) that make me cringe when I think about writing, and were in all honesty, pretty stupid.

I hardly ever appeal.

I think I have posted in there twice to appeal. Another time was for something unrelated to bans or infractions recently.

I made a thread about something (idr what) and vicky just replied with :joker: the bitch :hmph:

I have three threads in the appeals section, two of them are appeals against infraction, one of which was overturned and another non appeal thread to discuss another matter. None of which contain anything cringey.

Ive only appealed twice. Once was for perma-banned members to get another go on the forum because I missed their presence, the second was for getting a 3 point infraction for calling somebody 'a bit of a tit'.

I didn't presume that at all. I knew most people won't have any infractions at all. If I took myself that seriously, Marsh, then I wouldn't have started this thread to begin with.

If nobody else had any black marks against them, then I don't think Dezzy would have needed to start that thread about PA etiquette the other day.
