both legendary....yes both gangster movies...but totally different movies....id say goodfellas marginally better....ive never seen a movie so brilliantly put together as goodfellas and so utterly original....goodfellas is the blueprint for gangster/mob/mafia movies and great shows like sopranos forever....I also think mean streets was a massively important movie in scorseses development and in movie history

Goodfellas. Scarface is a great film but its become a bit of a cliché. I cringe every time I hear it referenced in a hip hop verse or scenes are shown in a hip hop video. It has been way overused.

I love both movies equally. But if i had to choose probably Goodfellas. I love Joe Pesci performance in it! :lovedup:

I love deniro in goodfellas, hes so controlled and understated, but that worldly face says it all, the scene where pesci shoots the barman, deniros face is priceless....also liottas best ever performance by miles and the vast italian american cast was just awesome, including scorseses legendary mother

True, but its become easy for idiotic thuggish rappers to reference it.
