they are fine with her like they dont bark/growl but whenever they go near her she tries to claw her eyes out

AnnieK 12-04-2013 08:00 PM

She will get used to them Scott.....I thought I would have to give one up when I first brought cats to meet my dogs...the cats were awful but they were fine after a couple of weeks and used to sleep together and everything. She will be the boss though.

Ammi 12-04-2013 08:13 PM

..she's got a beautiful face Scott..she's totally adorable.......

..just give them both a bit of time to get used to each other...

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 12-04-2013 08:15 PM

shes 12 months old though will that make a difference :suspect:

AnnieK 12-04-2013 08:19 PM

No it shouldn't it will probably take a little longer....

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 12-04-2013 08:29 PM

yay

Ammi 12-04-2013 08:30 PM

..it's because they're strangers with each other Scott and it's the same as with humans..they just have to get to know each other a bit..give them a few days for Poppy to settle in because she's probably a bit nervous atm and then see how they go....

Kizzy 12-04-2013 08:39 PM

Yes there may be some hissing and scratching initially but that should settle down :)

put them in a room where there is somewhere high up the cat can go so it can sit there and look at the dogs.. takes a while but after a while they should hopefully get used to eachother

GypsyGoth 12-04-2013 09:29 PM

She's really cute :amazed:
