dont you just hate

people who type with no punctuation and they make it really hard to read because it's all in one massive paragraph with no spaces it's really bad in serious debates i tend to just ignore them because tbh i have no freaking idea what they are saying

King Gizzard 16-04-2013 10:47 PM

I prefer not using punctuation, well at least I don't like full stops at the end of sentences in posts anyway

GypsyGoth 16-04-2013 10:48 PM

I don't mind it, once I can understand their post I'm not too fussy.

Ninastar 16-04-2013 10:49 PM

i just need a comma, that's all.

Smithy 16-04-2013 10:50 PM

But yeah it's annoying, but what's more annoying is when people type, like this and don't leave spaces, after comma's

Josy 16-04-2013 10:51 PM

Doesn't really bother me.

King Gizzard 16-04-2013 10:52 PM

I just hate when people have to always use unicorn references in every single post, gets tedious

Black Dagger 16-04-2013 10:53 PM

It doesn't bother me if people miss out the odd ' or .

However it really ****s me off when people don't have the decency to try spelling correctly.

Marsh. 16-04-2013 11:05 PM

It is slightly... confusing when... people type with... a stutter.

..you know, for me, there are much more annoying/irritating things on forums than the lack of ‘correct’ punctuation..(sorry Shaun..)..but it’s always interesting to see how these things can be ignored or even ‘applauded’ by some, when they could be applied to yourself or who you consider to be ‘a friend’ or indeed someone who fits in with your own agenda...it also always interests me when people mask rudeness under the guise of ‘honesty’ (we see it all the time in the BB house)...it’s something that people who have a tendency to be rude often do because I guess they don’t want to see that ‘honesty’ within themselves...it’s also interesting with some people, how they will use a general discussion topic to snipe at a particular member..I guess that’s a special gift that they have in their skills of observation, when they seek out any thread/topic etc as an opportunity to convey their ‘honesty’ to others or a particular forum member...I’m sure that’s g-g-g-g-greatly a-a-app-app-app-appreciated and of much v-v-v-value to everyone...I think the most interesting thing of all though is when people express that ‘honesty’ with people they know nothing about and have barely ever interacted with...and yet they feel that person would benefit from their ‘honesty’....

..but as always, I respect your positive and ‘honest’ contribution to any thread you post in...in fact I think that I’ll be a little honest with you here as well (just so that you do know something about the person who has the pleasure of your ‘honesty’) and tell you that in real life, I don’t in fact have a stutter..I may have a ‘style’ of posting as many others do..but if I did actually have a stutter..? then your ‘honesty’ may just have crushed someone you barely know as that stutter would probably be their greatest insecurity in life, (having never spoken to them about it, or know anything about them, you would have no idea how deep that insecurity was) and having it pointed out to them on a public forum would serve no positive purpose whatsoever....but I'm sure that 'honesty' is always 'the best policy', right..?...

Cherie 17-04-2013 06:25 AM

The way people post doesnt bother me at all. I do find this thread offensive though as it clearly is a poorly disguised and unnecessary dig at some members.

Marc 17-04-2013 07:18 AM

It's really not difficult

Seems the only one making a dig, poorly disguised or otherwise, is a fully fledged member of a part of the internet that should be padded.

Seriously you need to get over yourself.

Eh? That doesn't even make sense as a reply to the point I made, never mind making it personal.

Seeing as you incorporated most of my post in your little dig than yes I did take it personally. Tell you what honey why don't you put me on ignore, I can easily ignore your posts when not directed at me without resorting to that facility but clearly you can't, so do us all a favour eh? End of discussion.

I don't use the ignore function anymore, as I find it too restrictive. Besides, you made a point about this thread, I replied. Really is as simple as that, Cherie. Two people have got personal in this thread - you and Marsh, so playing the victim is a little incongruous. Now that is the end discussion.
