100 new stores cancelled. The CEO P.Clarke talking on BBCNews. Bliss |
Those pesky horses. I don't really like Tesco for food shopping, the clothes section can be alright though, and new stores not opening means less jobs so I'm not sure it can be considered utter bliss.

Never had a chance to shop one because they closed up shop so quickly. They seemed to be the equivalent to the Fred Meyers in the Northwest and those still seem to be hugely successful. Damn.

Good I'm glad cos Tesco non food items are basically cheap rubbish, the bubble I think has burst on the one shop fits all model. People want reasonably priced quality goods and are prepared to go to stores that can offer that.
Tesco cannot, it is basically a food store trying to sell almost everything, a large amount of their non food items are basic, formless, unfashionable tat. Their range is limited and personally when I go out to buy the groceries I don't plan to come home with a settee and a set of garden Gnomes..... So lets keep some things separate and sell them in stores that actually sell those items, and not allow one store to try and muscle in on everything or we may as well kiss goodbye to the high street and everyone just go to the Big Shop warehouse and get the lot...!!! |
