Animals merged together in bizarre artwork
When it comes to bizarre hobbies, merging two animals together in the name of art has got to be among the strangest.
Student Arne Fredriksen uses photo manipulation to create the out of these world hybrids which have become a hit online. The Weird Animal collection features a number of different animals seamlessly amalgamated into an array of strange and intriguing creatures. Some of the more amusing images include a pug’s head attached to the body of a gorilla and a duck merged with a horse. http://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/...=650#038;h=781 Others include a lion with the face of a guinea pig and a killer whale put on the body of a penguin. The 23-year-old, from Trondheim in Norway, began creating the images to relax from revising electrical engineering at university. ‘A friend of mine has some guinea pigs, and we used to joke about how harmless these animals are, and that they don’t look intimidating at all,’ he explained. ‘So I started finding pictures of guinea pigs and putting their heads on other animals.’ http://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/...=650#038;h=577 After finding pictures of the animals using Google, the artist then begins his process of combining the two. ‘It’s important that the pictures are taken from approximately the same angle, so that the animals can be put together in a natural way,’ he said. ‘The whole process can take between 20 minutes and an hour, depending on how well the two pictures go together.’ The pictures were uploaded to Reddit and quickly become a viral hit. http://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/...650#038;h=1000 Metro Certainly different. |
I like the killer whale/penguin the best, it looks like it could be a real creature.
