a petition to get all smokers to stop littering 06.05.13

this may be trivial,
but there is smoke,
the packets have no rival,
because all "brands" make me choke.
what is my bug,
why am i a " Hitler",
because what i saw was no snug,
it was blatant litter.
let me go through the deal,
not from the "harvest crop",
but the bit making my meal,
from when most addicts leave the shop.
its in there hand,
maybe there is a little shake,
oblivious to the rest of the land,
because addicts only care about the "hit" take.
the see through rapper first,
on the floor with no look,
nicotine is the only thirst,
even if a bin would have took.
the box opens easy,
again a snip of paper on the floor,
straight into the mouth is not cheesy,
this is the addicts instant score.
every brand needs telling,
so we can hit "smokers" with a fine,
just like the "cancer" showing on selling,
because on this unneeded litter i want a decline.

( hello to everyone who has come across this message to try and get smokers to follow what we should all do to keep our streets clean. i have a feeling this is not going to work until we hit the smokers where it hurts ? in the pocket. i think we need to do a few high profiled cases of smokers doing this and highlight and educate everyone so as to make it unacceptable so as when smokers are getting there hit - they also think about this issue. i have sent this to major producers. one more alternative i could think of is - put £2 on every packet and state this is because most smokers do this - or is that to controversial ? please sign my petition if this issue bugs you - here is a link -http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/smokers-to-stop-dropping-wrapper-on-the-streets )

No thats just silly smokers are subject to the same littering laws as everybody else if there was any truth in your claim they litter more then they will be the ones paying more into councils coffers for littering.
If litter pisses you off moan to your council to do their job properly and get on top of it by way of fines and increased street sweepers.

People who go abroad, smuggle ciggies back and sell them for cheap. I get a 50g pouch of tobacco for 6 quid..or a packet of ciggies for 4.50.

I dont actually care that I am supposedly supporting crime either. Before the price of ours shot up so much I paid for stuff properly. But they take the piss now with the price tbh :laugh:

I don't smoke but I say a definite no to this one.
I don't really think smokers litter more than anyone else,I get sick of people throwing sweet papers out of cars as they are travelling,I see more of that than smokers littering to be honest.

I'm a considertate Smokers. Always put my tab ends in the bin and don't smoke next to people I don't know when outside.

Most smokers are very considerate and mindful of others. It's not fair to hit those people with a further tax because some people are arseholes. It's like hiking up the cost of booze so moderate drinkers pay the cost for the daily drinkers. Unfair. Non-smokers should be on their knees thanking smokers for the extra tax revenue they provide... more than it costs to run the NHS annually.
