The Paul O'Grady Show [5pm weekdays]

Paul O'Grady to make teatime chat show for ITV

Paul O’Grady is set to join ITV’s teatime lineup with a brand new chat show.

The star, who won a National TV Award earlier this year for For The Love of Dogs; with a second series starting soon; will make an initial 25 shows for the broadcaster for early evenings later this year.

The hour long studio based show will air every weekday early evening; mixing guests, music and feel good entertainment with Paul’s unique blend of humour, wit and surprise.

Paul said:

“I can’t wait to get back in the studio, it seems ages since I was sat behind that desk at teatime. I’ve missed all the fun and craziness of the show – and who knows, I might even get out my old organ...”

The Paul O’Grady Show (w/t) is an Olga Production for ITV.

Didn't notice it was gone in the first place

Excellent... he's one of very few chat show hosts with real charisma and wit. The only other regularly good one is Graham Norton, and even then he has awful pre-show routines and bad moments.

ITV really need to focus on what works - and they seem to be doing that this year, with Broadchurch, the return of Saturday Night Takeaway... it's beginning to look like a good channel again.

Thank goodness, always liked his show really and he was a thousand times better than Titchmarsh.

Like the set, the titles are appalling and the logo reminds me of Red or Black, theme song is cringey but...good...I suppose

Nice to have this back though, I feel 12 again

Have they pulled the Chase for Paul O'Grady?

I like both. Why cant they record Pauls show in the afternoon and have it on later at night. Like they do in America.

Shaun 11-11-2013 09:20 PM
