Are you a bus snob?

http://www.confused.com/news-views/b...you-a-bus-snob

I have to admit, I am a bus snob. I would rather walk for two and a half hours than get a bus, but that's just my opinion. The article linked above it quite interesting!

Kazanne 08-05-2013 09:35 PM

Yes,hate buses, hate the smell ,noise and sometimes the passengers!

Yeah, totally agree. I think I pissed my auntie off the other day when I told her buses are 'for the great unwashed'.. she then turned round and told me that she uses the bus regularly.

Smithy 08-05-2013 09:38 PM

Yeah, don't even remember the last time I got a bus

"queuing in the rain for the number 24" - says it all - why would anyone want to do that every week ..... :conf2:

King Gizzard 08-05-2013 09:46 PM

Not really, get one when I have to, don't see the problem

GypsyGoth 08-05-2013 09:46 PM

I like getting a bus, I can read and relax.

However there can be dodgy people on them from time to time.

Ramsay 08-05-2013 09:46 PM

Dont really mind using it

Vicky. 08-05-2013 09:48 PM

No, I use buses a lot.

Lee. 08-05-2013 09:53 PM

I walk rather than get a bus. I don't really understand them :conf:

Marcus. 08-05-2013 09:54 PM

i walk everywhere

Marc 08-05-2013 09:54 PM

Meh if it was the option of walking 2 hours or a bus, I'd get the bus. I haven't got time to walk places :idc:

Saph 08-05-2013 09:56 PM

Yes, I haven't used a bus for years.

Yes I can see why the act of getting on a bus, paying the fare, and then getting off at your chosen stop, can be a very confusing concept

King Gizzard 08-05-2013 10:05 PM

the only annoying/awkward thing is not knowing the particular place you want to get off at

This, gives me time to listen to some music

joeysteele 08-05-2013 10:16 PM

I don't mind buses at all, in fact when I use them it is amazing sometimes the people you get to talk to as well.
I'd prefer, simply for convenience, not to have to use them but if I need to, I quite enjoy it.

Buses have numbers. How do people know what number bus to get on? Apparently you need the exact money.. What happens if you don't have the exact money? Do you get thrown off? It seems to be bus etiquette to stand up and make your way to the front of the bus before your stop.. What if you fall? What if you don't know where you've to get off?
It's all just too much for me

You go to the bus stop and look at the bus schedule, it will display which bus goes where. They let you off by 20 odd pence but yeah, you need the right amount of money otherwise you won't be going anywhere lol. And when you press stop, you just wait till the bus stops at your correct stop, get up and walk to the door. And if you don't know where your stop is then you shouldn't really be on a bus :p

Lee. 08-05-2013 10:29 PM

I don't understand bus schedules and don't really know which side of the street to get on :(

Josy 08-05-2013 10:31 PM

Can't be doing with buses or trains

Oh Jesus Christ lol.... the bus schedule normally has a straight line map showing which places it is stopping at... if the place you need is there, bingo, if not, cross the road and try the other side

Lee. 08-05-2013 10:33 PM

Actually I like long bus journeys if I'm on my own
