The one I've always heard, Ammi, is "Liquor-beer, never fear(or, in the clear), beer-liquor, never sicker." And a few play on words for those as wellas what you have up top there.
Wine usually has so much sugar in it, I can feel the headaches just thinking about it. I like to share a bottle with a nice woman, like my wife, over a good meal, but not much more than that. I've made the mistake of having too much wine! Those dark reds are the culprits, you can start hallucinating after 3-4 glasses of the more powerful ones. Trust me in this, you'll be just as warm and fuzzy having two glasses, as you will four. And make less mistakes while you're at it. ;)
Stick with the beer, Alex. Next time you pick up both, give the bottle of wine, as a gift, to a friend(immediately,) or literally leave it on the sidewalk. It will get taken. No one will turn down a properly corked bottle of something alcoholic, for free.
And if you want to feel better in the morning, keep the abvs low on those beers and keep hydrating. Best of both worlds.
