Thats rare to see Iran , Russia and America all United on this.

Well it's one of Iran's Strongest events along with Weightlifting so they were always going to support keeping it.. and America and Russia just love really competitive sports so i'm not really surprised

Maybe they can use this as a basis for achieving nuclear disarmament

United in Pro Sports at the UN no less

It really is an outrage considering wrestling was one of the original olympic sports. It's like eliminating sprinting or archery. There are certain sports that are just iconic and should never be up for elimination no matter how popular or unpopular they are.

The idea that ping pong is a more legitimate olympic sport than wrestling is just ridiculous.

also who the hell would rather watch equestrian? at least with wrestling there's the chance of getting a semi over two men grabbing each others' waists
