'Friday Night Lights' movie could be crowdfunded, says Brian Grazer
Brian Grazer has said that a new Friday Night Lights movie is still in the works.
The producer, whose Imagine Entertainment made the original 2004 movie and its subsequent TV series, revealed that the fresh film spinoff could utilise the crowdfunding model recently used by Veronica Mars and Zach Braff's Wish I Was Here. "We made a terrific feature with Peter Berg, turned it into a terrific TV series and will now make a movie from that series," Grazer told Deadline. "I'm not sure such a thing has been done before." Berg and Friday Night Lights series writer Jason Katims were working on a script to revive the football drama for the big screen as recently as last year. The story is said to focus on the lives of football coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and his wife Tami (Connie Britton) after they leave Texas. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/n...an-grazer.html Time for them to get Saracen and Smash on board |
I have never heard of this..

It wasn't really that big over here at the time, they have only just recently aired the whole series on Sky Atlantic
|
Outside of Coach and his wife, Saracen, Julie and Riggins are the only ones that are definitely needed.
Would be a bit unrealistic if they brought everyone back, unless Coach goes back to Dillon |
Smash needs to make a Cameo where he comes and sees coach or something, he was a pretty big character in the first 2 seasons it would be fitting

no need for a movie

Friday Night lights was great, the movie, and the tv show. It really shows you what football means, to whoe communities, in the United States, from high school, to college, to the pros. Another I would recommend, is Remember The Titans.
Anyways, I think these people do exploit the passion of fans, into remaking, or making movies. I know, its their money, but some people are so much into it, they cannot help themselves. I would understand, if they got a share of the profits, but they dont. I think, its a terrible trend. |
