X Factor 2013 to have 'double auditions'

I'm assuming the arena auditions will essentially be (and replace) Bootcamp.

And in the first of an exciting range of new changes for the 10th series of The X Factor, hopefuls will - for the first time ever - have to tackle two sets of auditions. First, they will face the judges eyeball to eyeball in an intimate audition room. If they receive three or more yeses here they will then have to perform for the judges once more, this time in an arena, to prove they can also impress an audience before securing a coveted place at the next stage in the competition.

Open auditions for the series have already seen thousands of hopefuls turn out across the country with the hope of making their dream come true of becoming the next big singing sensation. The judges’ auditions will start on 4th June in Glasgow before visiting Birmingham, Manchester, London and Cardiff. This will be followed by the second stage of judges’ arena auditions in July.
So glad the rooms are back :D

So technically three as they go before the producers first. :p

Biggest issue has been the crap panel.

GiRTh 22-05-2013 12:19 PM

Pointless idea. As Ryan said they go thru the producers first so whats the point of this third audition?

oh nice

They go through about 3 producer auditions also.
My friend's through to the judges this year and she had to do 3 before getting a ticket for those auditions.
Although they've already done a lot of filming she said.

Sort of makes it a bit of a joke how the crap ones are put through, which in turn means they think they're actually good, then find out they're not as good as they thought. :joker:

So basically - they listened to everyone and decided it's time to bring back the old auditions, but then refuse to admit the live auditions failed - and so keep them on too? LOL ok.

Hopefully this puts a stop to the audience having an impact on their initial decision like in recent years.

Not that I'll or most people will be watching, too little too late.

Pointless and long-winded.

Seems a bit time consuming..

..And the only good thing about the crowd is their reaction to the **** ones which they will now never get to see.

Gary Barlow is there anyway, theres no recovering from that whatever they decide to do. Make them mate with a koala bear.

It'll still be rigged as ****, don't know why they're trying to convince us it won't be

they invite some of them on through agents, they reject good singers in preliminary auditions with runners/producers

Marc 22-05-2013 10:31 PM

They're trying

Well obviously, I've been saying this for years but anyone that watches X Factor as a legitimate talent contest with musical integrity is only going to end up disappointed. It's an entertainment show first and foremost. Always has been, always will be. I think people would enjoy the show a lot more if that's how they mainly viewed it.
