Spice Girls demo song 'Strong Enough' surfaces online
A previously unreleased song by Spice Girls has appeared online.
The demo, titled 'Strong Enough', surfaced on YouTube last night (May 21). The track is said to have been uploaded from a cassette that member Mel B previously sold at an auction. The song interpolates the Tom Tom Club's track 'Wordy Rappinghood', which peaked at number seven in the UK in 1981. It was recently reported that the Spice Girls have decided to split for good after Victoria Beckham allegedly backed out of plans for a 2014 tour. Meanwhile, the Spice Girls musical Viva Forever! will close its doors on June 29, making a reported loss of £5 million. DS |
Perhaps a bit controversial, but I always thought the Spice Girls were a bit crap... I get that they opened doors for a new wave of girl bands, but there have been so many better girl bands since they appeared on the scene. They were only around for what, four years, the most egotistical member, with the least talent, bailed on them after a couple of years and as a band, they were pretty terrible at choreography and none of them bar Mel C are anywhere near good singers.................. Rant over, haha, just really don't get why they're considered national treasures.

I used to be obsessed with the Spice Girls, I even had the matching duvet and pillow case set

I love this, sounds like an early song, I love the Spice Girls so much!

Greg I agree completely... if I weren't a child at the time of their hype I imagine I'd have hated them.
