The pound sign [Help needed]
 

Okay I can't seem to get the pound sign to work after four days. At first I couldn't find it, but then saw it's above the number 3. But everytime I try use it I get # not the pound sign. WHY? :(

Go into control panel, then language settings..and just check its on UK?

click ctrl 3 and it might work?

Okay my quotation sign on number 2 is now coming up as the @ sign. :suspect:

I dont know how to help if your settings are UK. This happens to me sometimes and its because for some reason my keyboard decides its a US one :joker:

Ben, have you checked your keyboard settings are set to UK

Try putting the number lock on and typing 0163 on the numeric pad, whilst holding down ALT at the same time.

Turn on the number lock then hold ALT & type 0163 on the number pad

Sounds like your keyboard is set to US and not UK, I know everyone else has said this but my keyboard does that too every now and then. " and @ become switched, that's when I notice, I don't normally use the £ sign on my keyboard so I've never noticed if it's switched when my keyboard has turned into the US one but that's what it sounds like.

Number lock should be to your right where the numberic pad is.
