So after the initial conferences..

which are you leaning more towards (potentially) buying a PS4 or an XBox One?

Jordan. 22-05-2013 07:16 PM

Playstation always

Kazanne 22-05-2013 07:18 PM

Playstation

Black Dagger 22-05-2013 07:19 PM

PS4 >

Nothing from Microsoft impressed me, I can Skype and watch DVD's etc without the use of an XBox, plus Halo and COD appeals to me not, nor does driving games.

Ramsay 22-05-2013 07:20 PM

PS4 100%
They tried to sell me a new console at their conference...Microsoft just tried to sell me a new tv

Tom4784 22-05-2013 07:26 PM

PS4, Microsoft are just repeating Nintendo's mistakes in going after the casual market. Sony has a better understanding of their audience and it shows through their lengths they are taking when it comes to developer support as well as how much they are investing into the Indie Scene.

Shaun 22-05-2013 07:32 PM

have never liked any xbox more than its equivalent generation playstation, and that doesn't look set to change.

Ryan57 22-05-2013 07:45 PM

Doubt anyone will say Xbox One right now, xD.

Currently far edging towards a PS4 although I have a little fear Sony may follow suit with the used games thing.

Tom4784 22-05-2013 07:47 PM

I don't see why Microsoft bothered with such a halfassed reveal, why not wait a few weeks until E3 so you could show off some actual games?

Hopefully it's there way of getting the TV crap out the way and E3 will be all about games.

Spoiler:

I know, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Tregard 23-05-2013 08:30 PM

Provided Sony don't screw the pooch with their used games/camera/online policies (And with Mark Cenry leading the way I doubt they will), then the PS4 will be my console of choice.

Brother Leon 23-05-2013 08:32 PM

Need to see more. At the moment PS4, but I'll end up getting the xBox at some stage to, either due to one of my brothers buying it, or just deciding to get it myself. Same thing If I decide to go xBox.

PS4. All these issues about the always online games, and used games being unsupported with the One have thrown me right off. I've always preferred Sony anyway.

Used games are supported, just it appears a fee is needed to play them.

Well that still puts me off massively. It's a bit cheeky of Microsoft to do that really.

Agreed. And it appears selling on eBay, or elsewhere privately, is a thing of the past. Can only trade in at stores that support MS' cloud system.

Jessica. 27-05-2013 01:50 PM

This is a bit long but worth the read imo!

Also you can never borrow a game again.

Currently a petition ongoing to stop Sony doing the same: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=568033

Ramsay 27-05-2013 02:17 PM

Sony wont do it..back before the One was announced and all the rumors about the used game fee going around, sony said they would ''do the right thing''
Probably were just waiting to see the reaction to Xbox doing it first though :joker:

edit: here is a link to it http://uk.gamespot.com/news/sony-on-...-thing-6404470

Ninastar 27-05-2013 02:17 PM

Ramsay 27-05-2013 02:20 PM

No PS4 yet

Yeah, I spotted that petition. Has an amazing chance of being seen as GAF is the biggest gaming forum around and actually has people in the industry that visit the site and post on it.

We're hoping they won't but, it's still not known for sure. I'm concerned due to EA ditching online passes. Why would they ditch them altogether if Sony allow used games to work fine without a fee or anything(?)

I'm fearful Sony will follow suit. If they do, E3 bombs big time.
