Channel 5 has revealed today that Big Brother 2013: Secrets and Lies is set to begin in the week commencing Saturday 8th June.

Advanced programming information released by the broadcaster today confirms that they intend to air the series launch between Saturday 8th and Friday 14th June.

Although a final date hasn’t been determined yet, it appears Thursday 13th is the most likely option, as that night’s C5 schedule is clear between 8.00pm and 00.15am.

Slots have also been marked as ‘TBA’ between 9.00pm and 00.05am on Friday 14th, while 5* is again clear from 8.00pm, with only repeats scheduled in the 7.00pm hour.

These details are currently subject to change, with final schedules expected to be issued next Wednesday.

Schedules are only ever finalised on a Wednesday for the Friday two weeks ahead I believe. Yesterday schedules for the week leading up to Friday 7th were confirmed, the 8th onwards will be confirmed next week.

Ratings are usually not great for BBC and ITV on Tuesday's, they never put anything out really, 2m+ should really tune in, with some promotion and no competition.

I don't understand why they held back some many promo pics/news and now we're getting them all at once. It kinda dulls down the hype to a 1-day kinda thing.

Also, I said this before, but you can always rely on Big Brother launching during E3.

Doubt it, no open auditions anymore so most of it would be the team corresponding digitally with applicants. Unless they bring back the audition reel show, do they have the rights to auditionee youtube videos, was there an agreement on the application form? Probably just one of their other shows as a lead in.

Electronic Entertainment Expo, it's where all the video game companies show off their wares. Always happens in the same week as the Big Brother launch, or thereabouts.
