Ex Labour minister Jack Cunningham 'wanted £144,000 for lobbying'
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...=feeds-newsxml
This is on All News and in the Sunday Times http://media.skynews.com/media/image...-1-329x437.jpg Bobnot this is a Dirty Labour one "Lord Laird has referred himself to watchdogs over his contact with fake lobbying company set up by undercover journalist Lord Mackenzie and Lord Cunningham also implicated in scandal 'Make that ... £12,000 a month' Cunningham alleged to have asked reporter It follows resignation of the whip of Patrick Mercer MP over the sting" |
I will not in any way be surprised to hear of MPs that are in or have been in both main parties having MPs who have 'broken rules' as to this issue.

Yes I want to hear Bobnot say Dirty Labour Rot |
I honestly cannot separate any of the parties in these matters. I really will struggle to vote at the next election.

Corrupt, self-interested, greedy politicians - it's hard to believe .....

It almost makes it worse that these are lords, are they not the ones concerned with truth and justice?....

Although for me, an MP should just be able to be kicked out right away, non of this being able to remain an MP until the next election than stand down. Most ordinary individuals would likely be instantly suspended or even sacked from their jobs for any wrongdoing. |

And if it was a benefit claimant it would be a court case and public humiliation via the media. |

Does this kind of thing ever put you off going into politics joey, Do you ever read about MP's and think 'you don't care about this country, just lining your pocket'?
It must be so hard for those who genuinely do care to run against those they know do not. It seems that there is a certain amount of disillusionment learning the truth about those who we place our trust in to do what's right as the electorate, but it's worse for you as you have the inside track on these practices, just how widespread would you say corruption is within the commons? |
