When was the Peak of BB UK for You?

I have to say BB8 in terms of its commercial worth. It seriously lost its fame making abilities for the fame hungry Housemates after this poor showing.

In terms of Entertainment BB6 was the last truly from day 1 to the last classic BB. BB7 is always rated as the last truly great BB but it was a good BB but lost it halfway through when Grace (the shows Villian) was evicted.

I think that was the moment that started the downslide of BB been a major show. Every show has its moment that signals the end of its reign as a massive show that was it for BB. Bringing in a Housemate to Win BB after they were evicted really was a massive mistake.

Imo, BB9 was the last 'classic' series. Everything after has been ****.

DrunkerThanMoses 03-06-2013 07:49 AM

BB10 had great housemates but **** production.

Sree, Freddie, Norion, Bea and Marcus are all classic housemates.

No way, the only housemate I loved was Bea. Hated the rest of them, especially that fat unclean **** Marcus. He was unbearable to watch, almost as bad as Conor and just surpassing Aaron. Marcus classic? Lol sorry not in the slightest.

BB10 was fantastic, yeah the production went to pot but the personailities of most unravelled, and it was brilliant to watch

it was mildly enjoyable. Freddie and Sree were brilliant. Bea was the perfect bitch BB10 needed, she my most hated villain on BB. Noirin looks were made her interesting it was the effect they had the guys in the house. Marcus was hit and miss for me. Out of BB8 to 13 it was the best out of a bad bunch.

BB3

Do you think so?

For me for old style BB I think BB4 (not a popular choice) was the last of before the freaks, Wannabes and Glamour models took BB over with OTT twists.

After BB4 it became a Soap Opera which was class for Two (bb 5 and BB6) a flawed classic (BB7) Bloody awful (BB8,11,12,13) ok(BB9 and 10)

Patrick 03-06-2013 01:19 PM

BB9 without a doubt.

In saying that though - BB8 was an absolute travesty so..

GiRTh 03-06-2013 01:28 PM

BB5 was the series when I discovered I was a fan and there was nothing I could do about it.

LemonJam 03-06-2013 01:29 PM

The night that Kinga shoved a bottle up her minge I thought to myself "TV doesn't get better than this."

BigSister 03-06-2013 01:29 PM

I agree with Marc BB3 for me was the last good one and then people said BB4 was that boring they put the wackier housemates in
BB7 probably for me as I remember being hooked that year and then BB8 I tailed off a little. I still did have favourite housemates though.

Glad someone agrees with me about Marcus, the guy made my skin crawl, & I didn't think he was least bit funny, the way he spoke about women was just disgusting .....imo

BB6 Was the peak for me, especially the sexy pool night shenanigans, I really did peak that night.

Who can forget that classic.

aman201 07-07-2013 02:23 PM

BB7 probably.

After that it struggled.

Roy Mars III 07-07-2013 02:25 PM

BB5 and BB6 then it went downhill, then up again with BB9 and BB10 then down again

Suze 07-07-2013 02:27 PM

I think BB peaked at BB6, then gradually went downhill from then, that doesn't mean BB6 was my personal favourite BB though.

Redway 07-07-2013 02:44 PM

2004 - 2006, so BB5 - BB7. It went rapidly downhill after that, with decent series actively approaching good (BB9, 10, 14) to completely dire (11, 12).

Shaun 07-07-2013 02:45 PM

2002-2006 (BB3-7)

BB2 and BB1 were good too but I was too young to care then.

This. After watching the great BB5 followed by the very best BB6, I found BB7 and BB8 disappointing and hard work, but BB was back on form with those two classics.
