I think they just wanted to cash in on Brian's popularity and history with Big Brother probably. It came off the back of his UBB win.

It is Narinder's business because Brian is one of her best friends. When someone mistreats one of my friends it is my business.

That isn't how it really goes. Instead of letting Emma/Brian sorting it like adults, Narider took to twitter and started smashing her big nose all over the keyboard. Nasty woman.

You've also got to remember that Emma was heavily pregnant, even from the start of the series really. Although this couldn't have been the official reason for them not giving her the job, I'm sure bosses didn't like the prospect of the relaunched Big Brother not having a live host for a few weeks should anything have gone wrong.
