Where do you look for jobs?

Not that I am looking, but I know some of you are.

Marcus. 11-06-2013 01:31 PM

Go out and look for them
Internet
Newspapers
Friends

Ammi 11-06-2013 01:34 PM

..I think most jobs are advertised on the internet but I also think it's always good to phone people directly as well...

Vicky. 11-06-2013 01:37 PM

I'm casually looking

I dont expect to get anything for a long time though, because I know I dont put in as much effort as those who dont have a job at all. If I'm out and about, I will ask in shops and bars and such..I check the jobcentre website a few times a week. That site is beyond ridiculous though..they keep posting scam jobs where you have to ring a number that costs £1 a minute and that. And asking for foreign speaking workers. Which in itself is a pisstake really..I understand if you are in admin or something that you may have to ring abroad for clients, but noone working in the likes of a general shop..should be required to speak polish/german(the only 2 I have seen so far..) IMO.

I work in recruitment and its always worth registering your cvs with agencies. Find one that specialises in what you are looking for and send them your CV..

sooty 11-06-2013 08:10 PM

I am retired now, but my working days, we used to go to recruitment agencies and registered.

Nowadays internet?

Just registered on there...every job directs you to another website that you have to sign up to :bored:

Me. I Am Salman 01-06-2014 03:03 PM

anyone applying for jobs this summer?

imma start looking soon

Livia 01-06-2014 03:08 PM

I used all of the above in the past when I was looking for a job. When I got my current job, they approached me.

smudgie 01-06-2014 03:11 PM

I advertised my services, then people rang me and I sort of interviewed them to see if they were worth working for.

Long long time ago now though.

Jordan. 01-06-2014 03:39 PM

Mostly on the internet although I got my current job from an application at the job centre (I know everyone slags them off but they were actually helpful to me)
