come on ch5 time to advertise big brother on other channels wats going off joke you would had thought it would had been advertised on other channels by now also emma hasnt been on any chat shows or day time shows has she:bawling:

Emma's been on Radio One open to more audiences than This Morning or Loose Women would get. Rylan has done TV promotion and I think it's been advertised enough in mags and papers. Better than nothing.

Yeah the promotion has been terrible.

Chat Shows? I haven't watched one in years unless it's after the fact, capped, and put up on YouTube... It's mostly BB related stuff otherwise I have no interest in them... I'm sure that the majority of BB's target demographic feel the same way...

It can be very expensive to advertise a show like BB on other networks... At this point I'd rather the money was spent on something worth while... At this point the best advertising BB can get is word of mouth.... A quality show will speak louder than any form of commercial advertising... At this point anyone who would potentially watch BB has heard it all before anyways...

They need a controversy. Not enough to threaten the show but enough to get people hooked ala fight night.

We've had some promo, which I guess is "better than nothing" as some people keep saying, but I don't feel we've had enough this year surprisingly enough.

But then again, C5 have spent quite a lot of money this year, what with buying Brian out of his contract, completely changing the layout of the house, new presenting team etc... but then in that sense, if they want to "reinvent"/"refresh" the show, especially with the new face of BB in Emma, the new house etc... you'd have thought they'd have spent more on advertising.

Let's just hope they know what they're doing.

They are actually complete morons - I don't know what goes through their minds, to go to all this trouble to make this series amazing.

And then they completely flop when it comes to promoting :idc:

We all know why that is though, I can promise now - if they weren't shoving another CBB down our throats in August, they would have enough money to splash out on billboards and advertising.

But of course, Celebrity Big Brother is more important to them.

I think they are just being realistic... If the series is actually going to be AMAZING it will speak for itself... No amount of advertising at this point will increase viewership because as I said before anyone who could potentially watch the show, but isn't now has heard it all before... C5 can scream BB14 is going to be AMAZING all they want, no one will care unless the series actually lives up to the hype...

They spent the majority of the budget on the house redesign and that limited their promotional budget. Something had to give.

Guessing there were no ads on other channels tonight then? Sounds like they're not bothering, unless they do a CBB11 and promote it after launch instead to keep those who tune in watching, but if the launch is good they will, it's better spent beforehand.
