Seating at the top of the stairs???
 

I'm curious if the fact that there is seating at the top of the stairs has anything to do with what is behind the Red/Pink door which is also at the top of the stairs...

I think at this point it's fair to say that the DR is again under the stairs, and that the storage room is off the dinning area behind the door next to the bedroom...

I can't think of a single house even the previous decked out C5 houses that have had seating up there... It has always been dead space, no matter how much room has been up there...

I'm pretty sure the door under the stairs next to the store room could be access to a task room of some sort. It doesn't really look like a Diary Room door.

I think the Diary Room is upstairs like what's been rumoured.

There is no light above the Pink/Red Door at the top of the stairs... The person who revealed the information was most likely mistaken... If the DR was in fact at the top of the stairs I'm sure the DR doorbell would have been mounted on the railing at the bottom of the stairs...

They've created a blatant walkway leading to those doors and they've mounted the doorbell on the beam to the right of it... I hadn't noticed there were actually two doors there and one is most definitely the store room...

Now that being said things have been known to change slightly from the press pics to the launch... Despite having revealed the DR room chair they haven't marked the DR on the virtual tour... I suspect they hadn't decorated the DR door in time and will most likely be made more prominent... I doubt installing a light above the Red/Pink door before the launch would be as easy as changing one of the doors below the stairs...

Now I'm wondering what the deal with the door off the dining area is about? It can't be a room that is secret to the HM's due to the light...

It wouldn't make sense to have the DR at the top of the steps. Some of the best moments during the series have been in front of the DR door when people are upset or mad. Other come over to see what's up and emotions fly. That sure as hell isn't going to happen if someone is at the top of the steps fuming and everyone else are at the bottom with no clue about it.

I know that structurally, it is the same room as last years bedroom toilet, but they could have changed it and made it the store room. I don't think it can be much more though, since it's so small.

I can't be bothered right digging up the house map right now but is it possible that the door directly under the stairs leads to the DR and the other leads to a task room as Glenn suggested? I suppose the store room is usually quite small so it could fit between the camera run and bedroom door...

That's why I think that one of the doors under the stairs leads to the store room. The door on the left can only be as wide as the staircase, since the staircase doesn't actually extend all the way to the wall with the doors.

Idk if the makes sense.

I don't see why the door under the stairs couldn't extend wider than the staircase? It has been said many times that there is room behind the wall of doors for secret room and the staircase is flush with the wall in the entry way... There is also nothing saying that the DR can't be directly under the entry landing... The other door is further away from the staircase and the closest mirror suggest that the camera run ends before well before the wooden cow...

Sure there's room to the left of the house for a task room, but I don't think that the door can reach/lead to it since it would have to go under the stairs, through the door-wall, and then to the task room. But I remember a few people saying that the stairs don't actually extend to the wall. So there isnt really a way to get to that part of the house. Unless they have task room that fits completely under the stairs, I don't see it happening.

House map shows that there is plenty of unused space beyond the wall of doors... You can see in the cap from the tour that the staircase is flush with the wall... That being said there is nothing saying that a hallway can't pass though it under the stairs unless there is something the that structurally makes it impassable...

I'm not sure what these "people" you speak of are basing their information on... The only place the staircase does not extend to the wall is near the bottom... Where the door sits the staircase is flush with the wall... A hallway could easily pass through to a task room... Leaving the other door leading to the DR and there is more than enough room for it...

Those seats are just there for the Very publicity, there is various other furniture that has been placed around the house just for publicity. However, if you do look at the pink door, you can actually see a gold bar, meaning that that pink door does lead to somewhere.

TBH I don't think I've very doubted that the red door leads somewhere however it is NOT the DR as the rumor implied...

From what I can see the items placed in the house by Very publicity, replaced items used in the actual house decor... So if Very placed the chairs there they most likely replaced something that was there before...

Possible... But the top of the stairs has always been empty no matter how big it is...

I just assumed the seats were only there for the Very photoshoot, and removed again after. They done the same thing with a lot of their products for CBB.
