BB burnout the big personalites too quickly.
 

Just a thought I had.

The big characters always go first and theres a reason for this - BB focuses on them way too much that people get sick of them, especially if they are spoilt or argumentative. They end up getting evicted in the first 4 weeks, allowing the quieter ones time to break out their shell.

Were even doing it now. EVERYTHING is revolving around Gina and Sallie. The jail thing, people want Gina and Sallie. They are the obvious choices but this just frustrates the casual viewer because it will just be these two once again who get most of the air time. There are 15 HMs in that house and although their conflict is probably the best 'storyline' we are now burning out their value.

Look at it this way. If all HMs got a fair, more unbiased amount of air time, we would see early which HMs are boring. The casual viewers would quickly get to know who isnt worth their place in the house and understand that even though they dont like some of the bigger HMs, they are entertaining.

Instead the big personalities go early and we are left with the thought that "now so and so will open up more" etc. and most of the time the series becomes dry because they arnt as interesting to watch as the HMs we send packing in the first 4 weeks.

It's a shame but that's how it'll always be- I dkn't understand why people don't understand that the show gets so boring once the entertainment is gone.

I just explained it - its all about airtime.

We dont really see much of the other HMs, they could be gems in the waiting once bigger personalities are shifted off, but its never really the case. People get bored of seeing the same faces over and over and want to see more of _____ and _____ etc. When it comes to it, we miss the HMs we evict.

But it would be impossible to givea fair amount of air time if some people just don't do anything

But its not impossible is it? Show them doing nothing, let people know they are boring, then people wont save them.

The "big personalities" who get in arguments in week one burn themselves out because they don't have any idea what they're doing. Not the producers' fault.

But then you'd just get viewers complaining about watching the twins scratching their heads, Jackie having a nice pleasant conversation when Sallie and Gina are in the background ripping each other's extensions out.

BB gives airtime to the more interesting story. The housemates themselves are burning out too quickly. Sallie is determined to be the feisty one (why else be so forward with Gina who had only been in the house a couple of hours?), when they should all be in a honeymoon period for a while before things kick off.

i get what you mean, but at the same time there would be soo many complaints that we're watching an hours show of housemates doing nothing when we know full well whats actually going on because of the live feed and the videos on their website.

I know what people are saying but you wouldnt show them doing 'nothing'. Theyll be having convos, or doing something silly, but when presented against what other HMs bring their worthiness should be marked.

We dont need to see Sallie in almost every clip.

But why give airtime to a boring conversation when there are more entertaining conversations/activities... its the viewing public that are to blame...year in and year out they do the same thing...and then moan when the last two weeks get dull.
Maybe its a maturity thing... although I seriously dislike the air-grabbing HM's I keep them in to be entertained...knowing they wont ever win. The trouble is many people want the smile wiped off their face asap and cannot stand seeing them estatic in being saved and thinking they are popular... the truth is its a harder fall for them when they do get evicted having had more time to dig themselves a bigger hole...
