What ever happened to the Self Sufficient Vegie Hippie house?
 

What ever happened to that Self Sufficient house Emma promised us on Launch Night? ..and how the HMs would be feeding themselves silly with the wonderful produce grown at BB headquarters and grinding away to produce their bumper crops! I've watched all the Daily shows, as well a fair portion of the live feed and haven't heard barely a word mentioned about their fantabulous Vegies, nor seen any watering. All i've heard is about the lack of meat!! And lets be honest, they've been on the booze most nights and puffin like chimneys. BB should've set-up a Home Brewery Operation & some Tobacco plantations for harvest. What a Crock!!

Good point, I had even actually forgotten about the veggie 'garden'.

They were down to their last 2 cigs yesterday.

They have been eating the veg, making their own bread and been provided with lentils and chickpeas. They have been using the shower that has to be controlled by another turning the wheel and hand washing all their clothes.

The bike in the bedroom has been used daily to pump electricity so the girl can use the hairdryers.

Its done everything they advertised so far.

Think you must be watching a different show.

They have won 1 luxury meal and it wasn't a takeaway it was beef and pasta which they had to cook themselves.

We haven't seen them moaning about it enough :)

Yeah, but you can bet the lack of Meat/Protein is for Psychological purposes, not for any Environmental/Ethical reasons. I've never seen them pull a piece of Veg out of the ground to prep for cooking. I've never seen anyone on the Bike powering a hair dryer. I saw the Shower wheel thingie once or twice in the first couple days..

Yeah, well..it's VERY minimal from what i've witnessed. I don't have any problems with it NOT being a hippie self sufficient house, i just don't like the 'bollocks' promise. Obviously you see it as legit..

Yeah because we only see a 1 hour highlight show and 2 hours live feed yet in that small space of time I have seen them do all of the above.

Its not a bollocks promise just because you have seemed to have been watching the show with your eyes shut.

They have done EVERYTHING Emma said would happen on launch.

Yeah, well..i guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I've watched about 70-80% of the total Live Feed and haven't seen any footage of the HMs tending to the Veggies, picking the Veggies or commenting on eating the Veggies from the garden.

I'm from Australia, so i didn't see any TV Promo's of what to expect from the BB house. But i checked Wikipedia a couple weeks prior and saw they had some 'concept' for a Eco house, Veggie Garden etc.. All i'm saying is - from what i've seen, it appears quite 'meek'. But, you've obviously seen things differently.

I've seen them doing most of what's been said. I don't think they need to show us it all the time though, it's hardly riveting TV.
