Midway through the year check in for your AOTY and SOTY picks.

I've actually been a little disappointed in terms of albums this year. I'e had a lot to look forward to (Woodkid, Fall Out Boy, Daughter, Boards of Canada, Thundercat, Wavves, Kilo Kish). The majority of them I've liked but I haven't loved any of them.

I'd probably go with Giraffage - Needs. I don't completely love it but it's consistent without being samey (a problem I found with a lot of the artists that I named before) has super catchy tunes (although the vocals are a little cringe at times) and each track holds its own in a different way.

Yeah, I've been disappointed album-wise too, as much as I like Acid Rap.

Second half of the year is looking promising for hip hop music so hopefully that'll change.

Iggy's album is actually pretty good.
Um I quite like Raleigh Ritchie too but was that 2014 idk

2014 full albums Ive listened to are:
- "Ghost Stories" by Coldplay
- "The New Classic" by Iggy Azalea
- "Little Red" by Katy B
- "Complete Surrender" by Slow Club

...so not many and Id have to go Iggy.

Including Eps "Oceans" by Coasts and "Light Parade" by Rio Rio.

Id then go with Coasts.

100% sure when "The Balcony" is released by Catfish and the Bottlemen it will be my favourite album since I love the 6 tracks already available!

Fave album this year, well I've hardly listened to any, but it would have to be the self titled album Natalie Merchant

And my fave song on it is called Lulu and it's about an actress called Louise Brooks, apparently she was a pretty big star in the silent movie days



Anyway there are a few albums that I want to get around to listening, I just haven't found the time.

ALBUM - Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse by Mariah Carey
Jokes aside this is a really, really strong R&B album. Frank and BANKS are coming for the #1 album though.
